Petrov's Elemental Bow Ranger Build(s) (0.10)

Hi all

I started a Duelist Elemental Bow character, here is my build so far :

Basically I am going for Petrov's most popular shock stacking and inner force build

I have 5 passive points saved which I could use to go for the 3 elemental damage nodes near the Ranger start area, but I have put that off until now - I have noticed that I can also use those 5 passive points to go for Iron Grip.

- So basically I am in a position where I can use 5 passive points to either get :

A. 30% elemental damage + 20 DEX

OR

B. Iron Grip + 10 STR + 30 DEX

What option would you recommend given that I am aiming for the endgame build described above and so I will have pretty high strength just from the left node highway.. ?

I have also read that I could have been more optimal by skipping blood magic altogether and effectively taken BOTH options above, going through the middle of the tree... say it isn't so? :( Is my build route still viable?

I realise duelist variations are still being explored but any suggestions are welcome and much appreciated :)

what exactly does the lgoh changes in the patch mean for a la ranger ?

i use lgoh on my 5l la and i dont really understand the nerf :/

is it less effective now ?

if yes fml i just recently traded my ll 20% vs a lgoh 20% -.-

I think its better to start your build in ranger as duelist because if you start as ranger in around lvl 80 + you can take the duelist node like (all the projectile damage nod, accélération and maybe leather and steath but if u start as duelist you cant take or with difficulty the projectil damage ranger node and perfect aim

Yes you could not go for BM, but then you would need a lvl 19~20 BM gem and a 6L chest or weapon to link your main attack with. Mana would then be left to cast auras with reduced mana gem(i.e determination, hatred, haste). But that's a endgame build, not really viable to a lower level player since the multiplier on a lower lvl BM gem is insanely high.

Hi there everyone, I'm pretty new to this game.. Wanna share my build to ask if it's good enough and where I have to go, what sort of nodes I should take from now on. As u'll see, I'm polyvalent, not the best idea I guess.. I'm trying to get the nodes I needed the most, deppending on the situation and the difficulties I had.. I have no specific build in mind, I'm just here to have fun with my character. Dunno if I should waste some nodes to get Static Blows for exemple or get the Acceleration nodes (dualist's way), Icebite ? Have enough life nodes ? Sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native speaker ! Anyway here we go, I'm lv 61 :







DPS: LA - 825.5 (mana leech/life gains on hit/weapon elem dmg/LMP)
Elem Hit: - 1000,6 (as Auto-atk)
Resists: (Merciless) - 75% Fire 75% Cold 75% Light -60% Chaos
Def: 5045 armour (without Grace Aura otherwise 8070)
2239 Life
325 Mana
92% Chance to Hit

Also usin' Hatred Aura.. Elem Hit & Grace have Blood Magic !

i need some help

right now my dps is very low , about 1100 - 1200 on la and i feel very weak when doing maps
and i got about 3100 life.
should i go iron grip? should i get some damage nodes or life?
should i try crafting a bow? if yes so what should i look for , what ilvl? sockets, links? price?

What do u guys say about those +8 chaos resistance that you easily can get when playing this build?

Is it worth it?

I've tried to make an endgame tree with a combination of duelist start and petrovs skill trees (Iron grip, Static Blows, Inner Force, Resolute Techniques, Blood Magic, Leather and Steel), but maybe i should get more nodes with resi/life. I dont know.

But currently, I'm going to continue my ranger, maybe i'll give the "bow duelist" a try later.

Thank you for the replies, I am still wondering though about an answer to my previous question - in the likely case I can only choose one, which is better? :

If i want mixed inner force build + all out DPS - shock stacking, is it bad idea?

and than i will used 4L auras wrath + anger + grace + lesser mana

is it suicide idea?
