I noticed that you have multiple set for various purpose. But I believe you usually only use a few of them.

Try to get the following set up:

Auras
Wrath + Anger + Grace + Reduced Mana

Single Target
Elemental Hit (or Frenzy) + Weapon Elemental Damage + Faster Attack + Life Leech
and
Bear Trap + Bear Trap + Added Fire Damage + Culling

Multiple Target
Lightning Arrow + LMP + Weapon Elemental Damage + Life Gain on Hit + Chain (If you get a 5th link)

Misc
Decoy Totem + Projectile Weakness + Faster Casting + Increased Area of Effect (Optional)
or
Range Attack Totem + Ice Shot + LMP + Chain
and
Projectile Weakness

I try to stick as close to what you have and also added in some suggestion. I favor over LoH when facing a big crowd as Life Leech has a 20% max life cap. Hope it helps.

If you need to train up gems, put them on your alternate weapon and do some farming. =)

PS: You need to upgrade your bow. The one you are using is only 166 dps. Try to get around 250 at your lv now especially if you are mapping.

Decoy Totem is a skill gem. It can be cast individually to lure mobs to attack it instead of you. And while mobs gather around it, you can blast your LA on them.

The above setup I gave you is to cast Decoy and Weakness faster. Not for totem auto casting curses.

If you want an auto cast setup, try:

Summon Skeleton + Spell Totem + Faster Casting
and
Projectile Weakness (Individual slot)

This is also a good setup to distract mobs (like Decoy Totem) instead of targeting you and thus increasing your survival.

That should get you past Cruel easily. Come Merciless, you should aim for 200+ dps weapon. And Try to get a Thicket or an Imperial.

OK i found a 6 socket, all green, thicket bow.

I want to do the (apparently tedious) upgrade process on it, and as I understand, the first move is to make it into a blue and then keep rerolling the blue stats until I get 2 (prefix + suffix) that I'm happy with.

What are the best or near best stats to aim for when doing this?


Also, when im recolouring the gems, I'm thinking 2 red and 4 green would be optimal for
ele damage and life on hit gems. Is that a good idea?

If you wanted to go this route, bear in mind that Regal only turns it into a Rare and gives one more affix only. If you want total of 6 affixes, you will need to exalt it 2-3 more times.

Its not too expensive to roll 5 or 6 socket. But to link 5 or 6 sockets, that's the hard part.

Socket colouring is not that hard too since 4 out of 6 are preferred to be green.

The issue now is to consider if you have the resource to Regal and Exalt it.

Hey experienced Elerangers. Could I kindly get some feedback on my gear? I don't really trade much, so this is pretty much self-found or crafted. Level 62 at the moment.



I know at least the amulet is pretty trash =/
