My shadow is too fragile :/ Help me figure out what is wrong with my build?

Archers can give you a headache well into the endgame. They're essentially like being surrounded, except they're not anywhere near you. ;) That's especially an issue when you're life leeching and you have to get to them first - flicker strike can help here though.

For survival, I'm doing acceptable. I don't die much, maybe once every other map on cruel difficulty (though I'm sleep deprived right now which means my skill isn't as good as it could be)

Damage wise is okay, not that great. My dps is only around 150. I rely on poison and traps to deal the most damage. Spamming Double Strike does decent damage as well.

Mana is great if my aura is off, and okay if it is on. If my aura is off I can use most of my skills without drinking potions frequently, and with it on I'll probably need 1-2 grand mana flasks to keep on using my skills. I feel like the only reason my mana is tolerable at this stage is because I have a lot of regen bonuses on my equipments.

Going back to survivability, I get 50% damage reduction instead of 50% dodge chance. With my aura I have 60%. With my potion effect (100% increased evasion rating). I get around 74% damage reduction. Great for boss fights when I'm spamming mana burning skills.

does 1300 life work then? I assume ur running grace and iron reflexes?
Grace, Iron Reflexes, Determination and that flask.

1.3k health works for me, with my damage reduction, playing style and choice of farming grounds - Pyramid and the level 60 maps I tried so far. It doesn't guarantee survival but it's good.
ok more feedback, this build has started to get really fun around level 42, whirling with life on hit+mana leech is basically and auto-topup and its mana cost is ridiculously low (18 for a 500dps attack).

flicker and bloodrage are only good on certain maps, pyramid for example, forget it, too close and easy to get screwed in a corner.

iv decided im gonna prove evasion wrong and not take iron reflex, instead gonna go way over for the mara life regen/life nodes.

Dps atm is absurd, fully tweaked i can crank out 2700dps on flicker. Viper strike is amazing for tougher bosses, just drop temp chains, kill their support with whirling and viper strike a couple times to kill high hp stuff like mammoths that have regen.

also (moot point) if you party in public like i do often and some little weasel is ninja'ing gear, make a note of his name. With phase and whirling+faster attacks you are faster than anything else on the screen, let him know thats not how the shadow rolls!!!

This has nothing to do with shadow, only how whirling blades + faster attacks + fast weapons work.

I do this with my fire witch that has a dagger. I whirlwind next to mobs, burn them all and whirlwind away.

Remember, chris has stated that evasion will be buffed. Not modified, Buffed. Positive effects will be added to the stat. So let's wait and see.
