" FP was OP. you say it yourself... compare it to say arctic breath. FP being OP doesnt have to do with its damage. its the ability to shotgun things and with gmp and crit freeze and shock stack things from range. its mechanics as a piercing, overlapping, projectile, spell that does status ailment and has insane quality bonus...is incredibly op. |

Really looking forward to trying a crit melee Templar.
Hope it's worth giving up RT in order to get high enough crit and accuracy to make it viable. |

" It's not only FireTrap its burning dmg overall. IGN = DeizeCoC, DeizeCi, DeizeNUTS

Didn't think Inner Force needed to be nerfed 30% was only OP with elemental adaptation + purity. Now that elemental adaptation got nerfed I think it just frees up more points for damage =/

" This won't happen. The update to the site's passive tree is directly linked to the in-game version. Unfortunate but that's the way it is. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

I really hope they reconsider nerfing builds that take/took a lot of time/currency/crafting to acquire. I completely understand the whole catering to casual dilemma, but I hope they haven't taken it too far. I have a few suggestions (they probably won't be read by GGG, or maybe they've already been discussed and thrown out for reasons that I'm not aware of).
As for significant changes to passives such as inner force, ele adaptation, fp/ek/spark nerf (yeah, I know people will say "x is still/might be viable".. but for argument's sake let's keep that out of this for a sec) why not throw those in the new leagues first so the people that spent 100s of hours building their gears/characters from the ground up don't have to suffer the consequences immediately. I feel there are too many sudden changes without warning for the standard & hc leagues, where most people have established builds and are already well into their 90s. Real talk: Honestly, if these changes seem quite feasible after testing them in the new leagues, then by all means please give us (current sc/hc) time to re-calc our builds and make the proper adjustments necessary (ie. we need #s and %s) for such an abundant change. Planning out builds/gears/etc doesn't really come easily to people whom spend countless hours doing the math, time testing, etc. I know from a dev's perspective, you have all the numbers, you've done your own testing/homework, you know exactly how x, y and z builds will probably turn out.. but WE (the PLAYERS) do not. This is a game which requires us as PLAYERS to learn ourselves. We are not on the dev team, we do not have every resource available to test builds instantly by modifying a certain skill nerf or passive change with the snap of our fingers. With time we can definitely do so, though. Don't get me wrong, showing us your plans for the future is greatly appreciated.. but 1 week, let alone just a few days to take it all in is NOT enough time for us to reconstruct something we've built for months. tl;dr - Give us more timein sc/hc to plan our builds around your changes and instead put your changes into the newer leagues for those interested. We appreciate everything you do, but don't just throw all of these changes in our faces and say, "trust us, then give us feedback" and expect us to modify accordingly/instantly. |
