not sure what the big fuss w/ low-life-righteous fire builds, you could easily take a regen node at templar tree to fix this.
how is the nerf to spark a 'small' nerf?

6% to 4% is huge! It is a 33% reduced chance. If a build had 300% crit chance, Spark would have 24% chance to crit, now it would only have 16%. This nerf is really big and reduces sparks dps a huge amount.

One thing I'm wondering about that the patch notes doesn't mention much about, minions...

"Life values for minions and totems has been reduced to reflect new damage values for monsters."

This will affect minion instability I suppose...

What about damage from minions? those based on monster (like specters) will obviously get lower, and with monster hp's being same (and armor being more powerful?), this means their damage dealing will be significantly nerfed...

Am I reading this wrong?

I'm excited to actually try things out before assuming the worst. For all we know the "nerfs" aren't as bad people are assuming. Instead of 1-3 shotting things, you may be 2-5 shotting things, OOOOH NOOOOO. That will make surviving that much harder with all the "nerfs" to Inner Force and other survivability options. But waaaaaait. They've "nerfed" monster damage.

I'm sure it'll be fine guys. As others have said previously, if something is too out of balance, there will be a patch within a week, likely already will be, that "nerfs" whatever is broken.

"NERF"
Mhh instead of making bad skills good, good skills now get bad? :/

Beside this the new League, Loot Options etc. are great.

There's no point in becoming strong in a game that nerf you when you do.
Ok , lest put away all the good builds now, lets start with something new , wich is gona be nerfed next big patch.
Diablo 3 anyone ?
Focus on the bad stuff , leave the good stuff alone ?
Inner Force is now useless.
Iron Reflexes is even MORE MANDATORY.

Let's all do a physical Duelist now , to be original and cool , shall we ?

I think it will have some impact, but having over 100 projectiles on your screen ... you should still be able to kill em fast enough ;-P
Even tho my char got directly and even more severely indirectly nerfed (armor based specs are the only winners here) the only thing I'm frustrated about is only a 10% nerf being applied to reflect. Pretty much every elemental damage based build takes 27% (85%->81% maximum resistance) more damage than before from reflect, add to that the reduced life/ES values (=less life leech per second and less life regeneration). Reflect is going to be even more build-limiting from now on.
It's sad because obviously the balance changes this patch were aimed towards promoting diversity, not decreasing it.

Great patch, I don't see anything wrong with it really, and fantastic balance changes all around (even if some of the nerfs hurt, they were really necessary). I think we'll see a LOT more build variety after this patch, I'm really excited for it :)
