this patch is the overkill for the economy...

that " short " 1 month race killed it - bumping 15 chaos exas to 30+.

60 chaos exas incoming - and after race - we will be flowding again....

so ggg - do something against this !

Sorry to say but players hold the value of economy, its not game code that limits it..

Yeah economy is really f***** up right now, especially for new players. 40 chaos exalts are common right now in default. Really hoped they would do something against that by at least improving crafting system. Found an exalt yesterday and thought by myself, meh...24 to go before i can afford something very good.
Guess the best thing would be a complete wipe after beta, nobody could complain about that because the game is still in BETA. But that won't happen i guess.

WEll hope dies at last, maybe they will get it right somehow but I'm startinng to belief that there is just no way to save default league.
I like the news quite a bit with a couple of exceptions:

1) Acrobatics. How is having energy shield and armor going to make acrobatics any better? It's still a massive 6 point investment for an (unreliable) 30% increase in effective HP. Energy shield is something you have to invest in heavily to get any returns, and armor is something that isnt very useful unless you have a whole lot of it. I cant see how this makes acrobatics remotely viable.

2) Eternal orbs. This strikes me as nothing more than a bandaid over a severely problematic crafting system. Adding a fail safe doesnt change the total reliance on RNG or the complete lack of input that players have in crafting.

Disappointed to see no hardcore version of Anarchy. Onslaught doesnt look nearly as interesting as it brings nothing new to the game, and wont even be as challenging as turbo mode. Uniques that can eventually all exist in softcore but not hardcore also seems like poor design. Why not run softcore and hardcore versions of Anarchy now, and do similar with Onslaught (or Anarchy + Onslaught in the same league) in the next set of long term events?

Surprised not to see 6-socket items added to the loot allocation system, or map drops set at 100% m2m. The amount of feedback on both these subjects was high and overwhelmingly one-sided.

The melee and life balances look good in theory, though ill reserve judgement until theyve been tested in practice.

Eternal orbs seem fine long as theyre closer to mirrors than exalteds on the rarity scale. Anything less and we will have perfect 6-mod rares flooding the main leagues within a few months at most.

The challenges are mostly grind oriented and not particularly skill intensive. Not what id hoped for, though im sure theyll provide an interesting set of minigames for those who enjoy such things.

Im most interested in the improved sync code changes mention in previous announcements. Some increased aggression and accuracy on serverside auto-resync frequency and timing, combined with an ingame keybind for /oos and a ui toggle for shift-click functionality, would mitigate the desync issues to such an extent that their actual effect on gameplay would be minimal to nonexistant.

- Melee buff

- Monster damage rebalance

- Strength of HP nodes reduced allowing more build options

- New ladder leagues

- New base items and uniques

- UI improvements (HP bars)

- Crafting improvements (new orb and and quality fusing)

- Loot allocation options

- Achievements

- Resync improvements

And a lot more in the actual patch notes. (Yes this is just a preview)

- Melee buff, Monster damage rebalance, Strength of HP nodes reduced allowing more build options - Very welcome but those are issues that needed to be adressed and no big feature.

- New ladder leagues - Cool for people who like to play ladde, don't doupt that.

- New base items and uniques - No big feature for me, it's like adding new uniques every now and then with a patch, though the new base items only seem to be new rings and amulets (but has potential)

- UI improvements (HP bars) - welcome but only a quality of life feature

- Crafting improvements (new orb and and quality fusing) - new orb seems only be good for people who can affort to exalt their already godly items or 6l sidegear / godly gear and be able to have an ensurance for that

- Loot allocation options - nice to have

- Achievements - something that doesn't adress any issues and is nearly useless imho (just my opinion, to those who like AVs, gratz, I hate them and think they are absolutely useless when they don't whield a reward for your work - just a trend every new game needs to have to be in tune :( )

- Resync improvements - also something that needed to be adressed

I understand what you are trying to say, but I miss the super secret awesomeness

And that's why you will have 2 new ladder leagues with fresh economy and everyone starting from scratch. Did you think about that?

All sounds good to me.
So if a Anarchy League toon dies does he go to standard or does he stay in Anarchy League? Just want to make sure I understand. Can't wait to see a Anarchy Hardcore league.

Its non hardcore so at the end of 4 months you go back to standard.

Yup I know that. I asked if it stays in Anarchy league after it dies.

Yes, but what happens when they are over and the items from those leagues convert into default and hardcore? And what about splitting playerbase into 4 leagues? ( I know that they will only last for 4 months)
Doesn't look like it's going to help with the issues of the permanent leagues.
Wow really excited about this one, especially the melee and life changes, gonna be so much fun :))

Really? That's 90% of issues solved in one patch. Then when you quoted all the solved issues and told that there are not any solved issues, you say that "also something that needed to be adressed"

I'm keen to hear what did you expect from the patch? A Diablo 4 minigame?
