if you dont like the fire dog in docks, run tempestshield + saffels frame and watch them die so fast.

Actually, it does. It hits the enemy for lightning spell damage when you block.
Life Gain on hit is explicitly only for attacks, not spells.
Life leech on gear is similarly restricted only to attacks.
Life leech (from the support gem) does work with tempest shield. If you're not seeing life come back, your tempest shield may not actually be dealing enough damage to cause leech.
ok that clarifies things quite a bit the part that got me confused is that a reflected attack uses the creep's accuracy to check whether or not it hits (taken from the wiki) so in my head it looked like reflect was a free "hit" for that creep that he got for every attack that he reflected.

I wasn't sure if Voidbearers' attack was considered projectile or spell, assumedly an Incinerate variant with 50%Fire50%Physical damage. Thanks for clearing that up ^.^
Alternatively, a Stone of Lazhwar and/or Rainbowstride would work too I'd think..

Makes it reserve much more mana for very little payoff. Use Iron Will because it's free.
