Teaser of Anarchy League

Yeah, I agree, we need less leagues and more endgame. This is not counter-strike, starting new characters from zero is not something that everyone likes in time-consuming RPGs...

That's exactly what I want from my ARPG, starting over with new characters/builds, instead of grinding the same trash mobs with the same old character for epic lewts. The build variety is what keeps me playing PoE, not the fabled "endgame" (end means it's over wrolollo)

What build variety? There is no build variety, only "path of life nodes". My 3 characters shares about 90% of passives and the only way to effectively go though merc content is to put 6 auras and as much life you can get.

I tried to evolve my templar to be 2H without IR with all those dmg and armor passives and it ended in spending 40 regrets to respec him into cookie cut build and make him decent in maps.

"Build variety" ends with early cruel, in this lands of passives there is only few notable keystones and if you don't take it, you are not effective. And... "we are happy with the current state of [...] passives".

So main reason to level new characters, it means trying new build, end with non-effective waste timers or with the same build on another character...

Anticipation slowly dissipates...

The problem is not the game but you. There are so many viable builds in this game. Just browse the class forums. You will find lots of builds of people who sucessfully play builds you have never heard of. But people who play nothing but cookie cutter builds tend to not really understand that it's their fault that all of their characters are the same.

Come to merc, come to maps, as I said, to cruel, on short races, anything will work. Show me your "unconventional" build for character > 80 lvl doing maps > 70 lvl ;)

And no, there is no fun to doing 4th or 5th time normal and cruel again. I have placeholder for few more characters with few more ideas and it sits, because I just hate idea of doing it again.

And in new league? Without access to my currency and leveling items I accumulated? Sorry, but it's just boring waste of time.

Maybe it will sound strange, but my definition of fun is not 10 poorly equipped characters on cruel but 2-3 fully equipped characters doing maps > 70 lvl.

That's exactly what I meant. People who only play cookie cutter builds don't aknowledge the existence of build variety even if it's right in front of their face.
I told you where to check for builds, but instead you just assumed that all of those builds aren't even viable in merciless or maps. I am not going to discuss this any further. It's up to you whether or not you want to open your eyes or stay blind and deny build variety in PoE.

I have 2 characters in standard ladder. I'm not assuming anythink, I checked it and learned what is effective and what is not. Regarding endgame build diversity is a myth there is few keystones you need and difference is only in way you achieve them.

HOLD ON.. Are you telling me of the 24 Keystones.. People pick certain ones to build towards for their builds.. And the only difference between those builds are the differences?

WHAT THE FUCK! THIS GAME IS BROKEN BEYOND REPAIR!!

Definitively some sort of PvP enabled league. People have been waiting for permanent Cutthroat for a while now, this might be close to it.

I'm no in position for such statement, my thesis is, that regarding end-game build, diversity is a myth. And no offense, I'm willing to discuss end-game build, but with players who actually seen end-game.

Are you people for real, no build diversity? I'll be the first to admit that Path of Life Noes does apply to most builds, but apart from that, there is twice, triple the diversity Diablo 2 ever had. And after 0.11, Path of Life Nodes may have come to an end, we'll see.

Anyway I'm really excited for these new leagues. Some people with a lacking understanding of the ARPG genre, having played too many MMORPG's in their days, will yell "OMG NEEDS MOAR CONTENT", but the fact is replaying dungeons for loot, and making new builds, is the staple of this genre. Sure more content is also fun, but don't fool yourself, any content they release is not going to satisfy someone purely looking to do fresh and new content all the time.
