item level of crafted items ?
" I don't think this is true, but I haven't found anything concrete to back it up. Pretty sure that in theory, even Piety in Merciless could drop a normal Death Bow, and if she did, it would have an ilevel of ~70. It's just that the chances of her dropping a normal Death Bow instead of say, a normal Thicket Bow, are probably very low. Anyone know if there is a limit to which item types can drop based on the monster level? http://guildmedieval.com/

" Oh! I see. So it can, but the chance is significantly lower. That makes perfect sense. |

Well, that's my theory, but I could be wrong.
For example, it could be that Death Bows only drop in certain acts/difficulties (which in turn determine monster level) in which case a normal Death Bow with ilevel > 50 might never be possible. I looked in my stash (I am a packrat; I save everything that might be useful) and I have 4 rare Death Bows, but all are between ilevel 32-37, which makes me wonder if perhaps they can only drop up to monster level 35 or so areas? http://guildmedieval.com/ Last edited by dawg6#2998 on May 13, 2013, 3:36:24 PM

" basetype =/= ilvl =/= required equipt level the ilvl is determined by the zone it dropd. level 55 zone? its level 55. bluemonsters drop level 56 in 55 zones and rares uniques drop 57 in 55 zones. the ilvl determines the affixes that can spawn. for example iron ring is a "level 1" equiptable item. dropped in a level 50 zone its still equiptable for a level 1 char BUT when it spawns a mod with a higher tier then the level of the tier is the minimum level requirement to equipt this item. most base items also have their own level requirements. like glorious plate is only equiptable at level 68. |

" I thought so. That's where I got mine from. Act3 Normal. But I've seen deaths harp unique ilvl 70. - that was probably dropped unique, not crafted. Kind of makes sense. If I find such an item, I'll post here to prove your theory. But I don't recall whether I saw "low" items dropping in higher acts. |
