50% player loss in 2 weeks after new league/patch

The most tone-deaf gaming company. Literally had hundreds of pages of feedback on what to fix and add and what players want but instead gave the exact opposite of that. 2 weeks in and you still haven't fixed loot and the upcoming patch already sounds like you don't realize the problem if you are only fixing loot for bosses and Az spirit.

I bought POE2 and some MTX because POE1 forums told me this is the only company that listens to feedback. I have seen them do everything but and even double down on their crappy vision.

To be fair even with a successful 0.2.x I think a TON of users would leave for the next season of a competing ARPG. That seems to be the nature of the business.

IF we want to worry about numbers for the 0.1.x launch we had almost 600K people and the max for 0.2.x was less than 250K if memory serves.

IF on the off chance the 0.3.x has fewer people than PoE1 3.25 then I'd start getting concerned esp. if it was a lot fewer people.

You are missing one thing. Even if only 250k players came back, I believe 230k players would still be playing. 2 weeks into a new patch/league is way too early for losing 50% of the player base. Not to mention that a lot of streamers have quit the game and have been very vocal about how bad the new patch has been. Then GGG had to go rush out new patches and hotfixes to try and backtrack. Except that everything still feels weak and they never addressed loot.

I like this game and I think the combat is really engaging. Unfortunately, all the mechanics in this game are very anti-player and meant to frustrate the player to no end where it's no longer worth your time to continue playing.

I would play, but cannot, because of disconnects...

Take ANY Poe1 league and you'll see exactly same drop in 2 weeks.
I still don't get why this is a valid argument, everyone, including ggg, knows that this patch is a bit rough but what else are they supposed to do other then just truck on and change things? Should they just revert to 0.1 and work on a more comprehensive patch for a year without any public testing and hopefully have it work out? Is that really a better approach?
There are so many baseline systems they have to work on (ailments are badly designed, defenses aren't working, combat clarity vs difficulty, loot and crafting has major problems, ...), it's a big list they'll have to chip away on but i'd rather have a wonky game now and them work on those problems in the open with the community so they can actually get feedback and test things.
I am sure that if ggg could they'd just wave their magic wand and have all the problems fixed instantly.
google the paredo principle, and shut up with this mcdonalds is the best cheeseburger bull@#$%.
