I mean, if you're his gf or bf, I get it, but come on you're letting a streamer (who only specializes in hardcore endgame mapping) tell you what games are worth playing?

I don't need a streamer, I know for myself that I am already bored out of my mind.

Agreed. BUT - if a guy who makes a living off streaming a game, and plays every league for weeks when it comes out, quits this early - it should send a message to the devs that something is clearly wrong with the game. I hope it does.
This might be an unpopular opinion but I just don't think we should base the design of the entire game off a single streamer's views.

Also agreed. But you think its only him? Most popular poe streamers are already playing or making guides for LE, and getting ready for league start. Like, why would they do it 1+ week in a fresh big patch for their main game? Lily, Allie, Palsteron, Steelmage etc all doing LE content. Hardcore poe streaers. Ziz doing a race. If even your die hard content creators are dropping, it should send a message dont you think? Also all the feedback forum section is complaints. Loot, balance, endgame etc. Ive played many leagues in poe1, never had ive seen so much negativity about a league like this right now. Cheers.

agree even necro launch wasnt as bad as this.
I really hope the nerfhammer is enough to deter all these toxic streamers altogether and GGG keeps it longer enough they all pack their bags together.

Honestly, they're all toxic AF when things don't go their way they hurl at the top of their lungs complaining for hours on end as part of their job.

Seriously what do they (streamers) expect when they play games for a living 24/7, 10 days a week instead of a few hours a day like common folks can afford. If it's your job, you suck it up then.

They literally are the only few % that can and will always hit endgame and break most of the mechanics up along the way no matter how GGG tries to balance it and seriously the way they gathered together and sorta force demands behind a weakly masked qna livestream session with the devs is just scummy AF.

Oh, and not to mention they are evil enough to brainwash their mindless zombie fans to hop over to an ancient broken EA that was named LE.

That shit isn't fun and has never changed much, and worse yet even a 3YO can just hit endgame blind.

each to their own,

but the games publicity and playerbase hovers around these streamers it has for years.

they have a LOT of valid points,

making the game for the masses, but catering it to the Few % who break stuff is wrong.

nerfing the hell out of the ARPG elements for slow downed dull gameplay is alright for a single player game, you play once then leave.

ARPGS arent that, and GGG needs to realise that and relax a bit.

doubling down and making changes that arent in patch notes, then getting called on it to deny it for days.

then literally put out a patch saying your reverting a change in the patch that was never in the notes and you denied,

is clearly what is wrong with the game, talking about the HP change of the mobds.

and this is just one example.

the streamers are the voice the minority doesnt have, their viewers complain to them and they see it first hand as they play the game more than most.

to discredit them and blow them up becuase they are streamers, will cause more harm than good,

if they leave what publicity will the game have?

the streamers believe it or not, are also the biggest whales, to discredit them and throw them away will spell the end of POE2 and POE 1.
streamer validates the opinions a lot of people had anyway

the end game is boring

i heard fubgun say it 3 days after i figured it out myself. i had never even heard of the guy until today too.. so you hear this opinion and go "yeah... all of that is unfortunately true". its coming from people who want the game to succeed, not people cheering for its failure. i think that part is important.

but it isnt a Single streamer,

its all of them,

Ruetwo, Zizaran, Steelmage, Quinn69, Ben, Fubgun, Darthmicro, just to name a few.

when your biggest streamers of the game stream and are shitting on it,

AKA you FREE UNPAID Advertisements.

your not going to get a good show.

yes you can say, oh well he is just mimicing his crowd of people.

but at the end of the day, the streamers get people to flock to the games they are playing, and play the games with their viewers/streamers more often than you think.

Empyreangaming didnt even steam/play this league, unsure why but i think he and his team read the patch notes and were like im having none of this.

ive watched Empyrean every league launch, i like his content and sub,

it just annoys me the GGG Mods/Admin, are going to keep saying **You Think you do but you dont**, yes i know thats a Blizzard quote, but how wrong where blizzard,

they said no to classic for years, and now its its own branching franchise with hundreds of thousands of players, yes it has diversified the crowd, but it kept the crowd.

what GGG is diversifying the crowd to other games, not their own.

Streamers leaving early doesn’t mean the game is dead, it means the meta isn’t entertaining for them right now. That’s not the same thing.

These are people who play the game 8+ hours a day and rely on excitement and novelty to keep their audiences engaged. If the meta gets stale or frustrating (LS dominance, slow balance response, lack of endgame variety), they bounce. That's totally fair, they’re entertainers, not QA testers.

But this isn’t a mass extinction event. This is a normal ebb in streamer engagement after a huge patch cycle, especially with a monster update for Last Epoch tomorrow. If you think that’s a coincidence, it’s not.

The problem isn’t that these streamers are quitting, it’s that people are treating their exit as a signal to abandon ship themselves. If your enjoyment hinges entirely on what streamers are doing, you're probably not here for the game, you're here for the hype train. And hype trains always have stops.

Let the devs patch the balance (as they always do), let other games have their moment, and let PoE2 breathe. Not every patch needs to be "the greatest league ever."

Thanks to streamers I know that I am not the only one whos experience is terrible.

People like Fubgun are the canary in the coal mine and you shouldn't ignore them

They reach endgame way before other people and find it's really boring.

Casual players say 'oh it's a great game, he's just a no-lifer, I'm a dad and I'm 30 hours in, just starting act 2 and I'm having a great time.'

Most those casual player's quit at the end of campaign since they don't really know what ARPGs are and they don't come back for future seasons, they think they've completed the game.

Some people eventually reach endgame and they realise it's boring too. It just takes a couple weeks longer for them.

If it does continue this way, the player count will decline every patch. The casuals won't come back to begin with, and the long term players won't because its boring AF.

This 100%.
The lack of loot drops are like this huge elephant in the room that they aren't addressing which is shocking.
They need to fix the endgame and loot drops or the hemorrhaging will gradually increase.

but thats the point,

viewers watch what the streamers watch and play what they play,

they watch the people who are relevant to what they are playing.

look at steam numnbers alone (this doesnt show PSN/XBOX or Standalone Numbers).

since 0.2.0 launched the average playerbase (you can sort by peak hours in different timezones),

has dropped Signicificalty,

on steam they had an all time peak of 580,000 people,
going off what jonathan said, thats about a 1/3 of all sold EA Access.

now thats down to 98,000 on a 24 hour all time access, across all timezones.

you cant say to me that the playerbase hasnt dropped, or people are abandoning due to streamers alone, cause they arent.

are streamers speeding this up, yes i believe they are,

are GGG helping the matter, no they arent, people are leaving because GGG keeps saying one thing and doing another, or saying things arent true when evidence shows it is.

feedback sucks, but thats the point of an EA, for them to get the feedback of the population, and the feedback from the population at current is telling them,

that they are heading in the wrong direction.

and Loot, is a BIG BIG thing a lot of people are complaining about.

i shouldnt be in 8 mod corrupted maps, with 200% rarity, killing 8 essence mobs, with 2 whisps in them, and getting white items.
like who think thats fun.

there is NO RISK V REWARD.

its Risk verse no reward,

there is no Dopamine hit.

which ARPGS are known for.

Streamers are pretending PoE 2 is bad so they can justify subjecting their audiences to LE gameplay. Streamers care about content first, they don't give a shit about the games they play.
