The main reason why everyone played a very specific Amazon build the first week and switched to a very specific and similar deadeye build this week.

A YouTuber/build maker who effectively broke the balance of the game (not his fault) gave everyone else the blueprint to do it, then quit the game, which everyone else who follows that build will likely follow suit when they realize the things OP mentioned.

Super unfortunate they are so committed to not mid league nerfing stuff to the point they're boofing their game and sending their fan base back to LE, D4 or other genres completely.

How long did it take you to find the runes to make an enigma? I would say you never actually grinded for it.

You can trade in game all you want, it will still take you weeks to acquire one.

Now everybody wants to do the endgame content and play the meta builds after only 1 week.

You'd be wildly wrong in that assumption as I played D2 for thousands of hours over 20 years. I'm not entirely sure why you feel you know so much about total strangers.

Is Enigma a grind? Sure. D2 is also 25 years old and not a benchmark for modern games.

Jonathan is not listening to anyone. Streamers are reacting by withdrawing themselves and their viewers from Poe2. This will raise awareness and Jonathan will understand everything. It is wrong to insult streamers like Fubgun or Zizaran who play your game and constantly bring new players to the game. Jonathan made a big mistake by insulting Zizaran when he said he didn't know how to play the game in order to justify his own decisions. If there is no price for this mistake, Poe2 will unfortunately not recover.

Exactly. He's just some dude, streaming a game that he's playing, and also breaks the game in many ways, but what about him makes him so special? Why care what he says? If you genuinely enjoy the game, ENJOY IT.

I played years of D2 and not only is that not true (you could get enigma in a week on season launch if you knew how to farm and trade) but lets assume you are right. Then at least there WAS enigma, torch, anni, etc. all the good stuff that kept you wanting to possess it to up your power to insane levels in the game (and before LoD D2 also sucked HARD, ask anyone, the game had 0 endgame content).

In Dawn of the Hunt, the devs removed all these items by overnerfing them to death including this games "Enigma", Temporalis. If you cannot 0 cd blink with it, it is utter garbage. Nobody wants to grind hundreds of hours for smth thats not a huge power spike. All unique jewels were murdered by removing 12 sockets from passive tree. Ingenuity murderd->no point in farming rituals anymore. HoWA murdered->why do breaches now?

Do you get it? They removed every single possible endgame reward with the nerfhammer and gave no alternatives for it. There is nothing left to farm for anymore. You reach T15 maps (very quickly with less than 5-10 div builds) and the game ends as there is nothing left to do and all pinnacles only drop dogshit. Thats like D2 without runewords, torch, anni, anything. You beat Baal in Hell and its gg. Thats not what kept D2 alive for so many years. Its the grind to become a god and possess all these items and then high level PvP or make a HC char and do the same.

Additionally: D2 always allowed you to move FAST, be it teleport, vigor aura or whatever. There was no "you have to crawl with 0% movement speed now" mechanic in the game. And thats so baffling: The devs created a D2-ish game only to take out all aspects that made D2 fun and kept it alive for so many years....why????

Don't know who that was or what he did, they can enjoy the game and so can you.
And if you don't enjoy it, it also doesn't means everyone else should stop playing too.

TBRH, i just don't get people wasting their time watching and following streamers like it's a religion of sorts when they should just spend that precious time enjoying the game themselves and gaining their own experiences instead.

Pretty wild when he flipped off the people in that last interview too. Felt like he was flipping off the entire playerbase.
