Poor design with simulacrum for console players using the full button bar
During simulacrum when you activate the wave in a small cramped space having the portal enabled is flawed. Being able to exit the simulacrum is an issue, when the controller auto targets the portal and a player uses all buttons available including the button used to click the portal causes a player to accidently exit. Then upon re-entering the simulacrum it was as though time had not stopped and monsters continued to spawn or they were all already spawned. becoming screen stunned upon entering. it is the area that is the smallest I continue to run into this issue. When I accidently click the portal no enemies are present and the area is filled with twisters. Upon re-entering everything is spawned and the twisters are gone. Though the duration of them are long enough where it should have not been like that. I hope this reaches your ears. It may not be an issue for one/two button build but with this one it is. I don't see any reason for the portal to be available during the wave.
