Here is how you implement your Vision and make the game feel good
I think everyone agrees that the game feels kinda clunky right now.
The problem is the delay in abilities, the "realistic" movement of characters i.e. my crossbow guy running backwards and taking his sweet time to aim at the next enemy. This is because the game is designed around wasd -> console sticks. First of all you need to fix mouse controls. Make it snappy, make it fast. Gameplay>Graphics. Secondly your abilities feel to slow. The solution is putting the damage in the payoff. If you want people to use combos, make setting up those combos quick, fluid and snappy. One two three bam. Make everything instant except the "Ulti" like Hammer. This solves all of the games problems. You can make 2,3,4 button combos to set up your damage and then BAM one big payoff. That's (one of) the problem(s); combat can be slow(er) and "methodical" without feeling slow, and the key here, is responsiveness. Attack time can be fast, even though attack speed is slow(er).
