Good for you.

When I want to play an arpg with meaningful combat, I'll play Path of Exile 2. It looks like GGG agrees.

Zero supporter packs. Put your money where your mouth is at.
I deliberately hide them and my characters for people like you. I know it gets under your skin, not finding anything about my profile that enables some want-to-be elitist remark, so you resort to this.

Do better.

Yeah go away bud, you have zero constructive feed back and if you want a brain dead game go back to Diablo IV.
I'd like a definition on what "meaningful combat" means. It just seems loaded to me. As if to say you old fogies have an archaic idea of what's fun.

Go look at how WoW became a lot less popular when the devs started messing with combat rotations and skills in retail.
They have designed two different games and slapped them together:

The player character
The rest of the game

Meaningful combat cannot be achieved when they throw arpg hordes at you. It needs highly curated content to be enjoyable. Few enemies with highly telegraphed attacks. When 20 mobs swarm you all of that goes out the window. Add to that the map size and the qte mechanics, that demand your full attention it is just exhausting. You cannot expect the player to stay focused over such a long period of time when the content is so generic.

The character plays like console slop: Yanky, slow, clunky. Hit boxes are poorly designed as well. Abilities and gameplay don't mesh. Combat literally makes me cringe and go "COME ON MOVE ALREADY!" every five seconds. It's the opposite of fun.

Wonderfully stated and yes, even Elden Ring suffers from the horde problem. Once it goes over 4-5 mobs the idea of fanciful combat goes sideways. In fact the best character build in Elden Ring is the bonk build which just leap slams the heaviest 2h mace available, stuns the mob to death and does massive damage.

Anyone noticed how the dev said they wanted to implement the character rigs into poe1? Hell nah
...
Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks

Please understand the fact that ARPG is just a sub-monitor game played with Youtube or Netflix

Not really though - Dark Souls is actually a pinnacle of ARPG, you can do it as a challenging action game, you can do it finding strong character builds and easier as an rpg, and everything in between.

What GGG is trying to do is that but on a bigger scale and complexity, a great and noble endeavour, though sure beyond the watch play and doritos crowd.

What you describe is a failed design, a spreadsheet in motion, hardly a game, and a shameful sentiment. Even PoE 1 could have meaningful action if the crap mobs throw on the floor and at you meant something, instead of being mostly trivial, so you'd have to dash with precision and intent.

My version of this is, "If I wanted to play a Bullet Hell, I would play... whatever games there are for that."
