Never using parry because it is utterly crap & boring game play. The idea of getting a charge to use a skill to make it work (do damage) is awful design, especially early on.
Early game should be about playing whatever you want, free respec, low level uncut gems purchasable from vendors, so at least you can slow farm gold and buy one instead of refreshing an area in the hope something drops. Everything within reason should be playable. Everything doesn't need to be optimal, but every skill is capable to clear Acts 1-3 with a breeze, albeit the damage and clear falling off on builds that have no synergy. When you get to Cruel start to have more damage & clear drop-off with builds with no design/synergy.
Maybe parry play style just isn't something for you. Maybe the huntress isn't for you. People are always saying that its not good and has to be changed while there are tons of people who enjoy the parry play style.
You have a right to your opinion but don't try to force your play style on others. If you don't like how a class / weapon plays, play another which fits you more.

The upcoming changes really changing anything, because it seems to me that I will still need to play Twister to progress through the campaign? I don't want to as the skill & combo is utterly boring, and if you say you done it without Twister, cool, tell me how.
Stomping ground + rake for clear until you can get enough crit to proc snipers mark then go snipers mark + lightning spear with vault support.
Spear throw + snipers mark for single target.
I don't think anyone is using twister for the campaign, it was bugged and doing more damage when they were.

well atleast they are doing something. my concern is that they seem to be surgically targetting areas and specific mobs
they are also focusing on the campaign which many will be done with for now
so what happens in maps? arent they are generated so i guess you cant target specific mobs?
surely this approach is a terrible idea, wouldnt it be better to target mob types or families..
for instance, these mob types are fast. these mob type are tanky. these mob types hit like a truck and so on
thats the only way i can see it affecting the endgame or have i missed something
They need to do a blanket reduction in HP, and a damage increase to skills, especially early Acts. Instead they buff a skill or mess about with Parry, or make it so Herald of Blood doesn't destroy a corpse so you can raise them, just for a single skill. Who gives a crap about Parry and raising a corpse - Parry is awful, no one likes having to gain a charge is a tedious way, and if we really wanted to raise a corpse we'd turn off Herald of Blood.
If they don't focus on campaign, people like me and 100's of others won't ever make it to end game because it is utterly boring, and not fun. On top of that, there will be just as many who made to through campaign but hated it, but won't want to make a new character and stop playing once they hit a point on their current character.

I'll have a look at that thanks, although finding support gems & spirit gems are pathetically non-existent. Why they don't make Lvl 1-3 skills, Lvl 1 support, Lvl 1 spirit available to buy from vendors I do not know.

I feel like there are plenty skill gems and supports early if you do the side areas. Maybe supports could be a little more but low skill gems I always have an over abundance of.

I'm sorry but I really think you are overstating this, there will absolutely players that will enjoy using it especially when its still viable to do so but it has so many holes even those staunch supporters will tap out eventually.
GGG's melee/ranged switch hybrid needs far more imagination than they have currently given it but even that aside Parry should be buffed substantially while also making it less mandatory as this improves the game for both sides.

Sure, but having tried different skills because most being awful and I wanted to try skills, not be a sheep, which I ultimately ended up being forced into and playing Twisters, only to close the game straight after because it is boring to play. So I have run out of freebies. Now I rely on drops.

Like i said don't try and force your feelings and views onto others. I'm playing parry from day one and besides some small issues sI'm fine and happy with it how it works. Some of them get addressed next patch which will make it better. We also got the Cull of the weak now which helps even more with generating charges early.

People enjoy squatting and squeezing one out in another persons mouth. Myself, that ain't me. Parry isn't quite that, but again, it ain't for me and many others have said it is awful design. Poe has always been filled with people who play through crap leagues because they have nothing better to do, are addicted to the game, or pretend it's a job. Those players will happily abuse bugs, always run the meta skills, and use crap mechanics like Parry because it is there, but even those will move away from it as soon as possible. Parry as a whole is god awful, the entire gain a charge to make a skill viable mechanic is Poe sucks, especially early on.

I'm not forcing my views on anyone i am disagreeing that "tons" of people like using parry, as a general read its pretty unpopular and I know from experience it stops being useful the further you progress as its reliability drops.
