Trial of Ultimatum wont let me finish a room

In room 3 of my first ultimatum. Doing a "race to the finish!" challenge. I cant finish this room. The platform wont drop, the lever wont let me pull it. Theres no monsters in the map anywhere ive run around everywhere i can for 10 minutes.
