All the people hopping from game to game: they’re not part of the Path of Exile community. They’re asylum seekers. We welcomed them with open arms, and you GGG repaid us by spitting in our faces and the game we love.(PoE1)

The real issue goes back to what GGG told us 13 years ago—they promised that PoE1 would continue to be supported and updated, as long as the financial side made sense. The players delivered—we paid, we supported. But GGG broke that promise.

That’s why core PoE1 players are angry. We see the new wave of players, the ones who’ll jump to the next trending game without a second thought, who don’t really care—they’re just chasing a high. Like someone hopping from thrill to thrill, never committing, always looking for the next fix.

We, the core players, were married to this game. But now, GGG has divorsed us for someone new—a flashy biach with no loyalty. And yeah, that stings.

Holding a company to what was said 13 years ago and when they were just starting out is just silly. The world of gaming is entirely new and different, you are new and different, GGG is new and different. If you love 2012 so much, just play Acts 1-3 over and over again. When companies make forecasts/promises about the future, they are guessing what the future will be like. Whining about decades old company "promises" not being kept is beyond ridiculous.

Are you still using the same computer you used back in 2012? I guess not.
