Unable to play character. Error loading type Metadata/Effects/misc/Uniques/shields/...

I got this error when I equipped the Nocturne unique buckler. It let me move around after that, but when I reloaded a screen it is now stuck on the loading screen and won't let me play. Currently unable to play.
