Tips for a completely new player?
" some minor non spoiler non guide tips in regards to socketing. an item's max links is usually equal to it's max sockets. body armor and 2handed weapons can have up to 6 sockets which are usually considered the best for your most important skills since you can support them with 5 supports. helmets/boots/gloves have a max of 4 sockets normally. while you're starting the game low level items usually have 3 sockets max. so you should keep an eye out for an item with 3 links (3links refers to items with 3 sockets and the sockets are all linked). later onwards while you progress thru the story, due to the higher level items dropping you can eventually get 4L items to drop which can boost your power considerably. it is possible to eventually get 5L and 6L but its always a good practice to assume you will not find any while going thru the campaign. entirely possible but highly unlikely. another tip is you cannot support 1 gem with duplicate gems. for example falcon punch skill supported by increased physical damage support. using one of the support will work. putting another does nothing extra. also. the game is very specific with its wordings. sometimes in order to gain a huge bulk of power there will be drawbacks. read properly. a good example is a support that disables all your elemental damage but makes your chaos damage do much more damage. other random tidbits. this game is harsh. resistances and life is VERY important. it is too easy to get stunlocked or freezelocked. when you have the option to get "purity of elements" take it and use it. it helps by improving your ele resists and make you immune to ele ailments, which include freeze and chill, which can be very deadly. as a new players it is going to be fun fully clearing an area. but usually once is enough to get experience that area and to look for quests. normally you do not need to kill everything. usually more experienced players tend to even ignore monster packs. do not feel compelled to kill every single thing. if you're stuck due to being weak. you can hold ctrl and click on a way point or area's entrance/exit. this will open a window allowing you to create a new instance of the area. this can be handy if you want to kill stuff and level. dont forget to update your flasks too. 3 flasks of the same kind can be vendored to get 1 higher leveled version. as for currency chaos orb is the "1 dollar" common currency exalted is the brother of chaos orbs, more valuable but not as desirable. divine orbs are the "gold standard". which are rare. hang on to these. mirror of kalandra is the rarest currency and is considered similar to winning the lottery. if you get one of these post it in the forums and let people envy you lol. have fun [Removed by Support]

You get some regular tabs by default, you have to purchase any ones that are extra using real money. It is a good investment. Also instead of buying "points packs" consider supporter packs, you get the same "point for dollar" value but you also get additional cosmetics (whatever is included with whichever bundle you are looking at).
