I am currently doing T1 mapping, i can clear without using orb of alchemy on maps, but if i used it on a map, i couldn't clear it as i am as thin as a paper, and my damage output is ridiculously low. Please advise what i should improve on my gear so that i can actually survive and level without dying.. P.S i am almost clueless to this game but this game is just too addictive Last bumped on Mar 18, 2025, 12:14:17 PM

Hello,
Are you playing in the Phrecia or settlers league? Make your character public in your profile. If doing the early maps as rares is too hard, just run as blue (magic). "Gratitude is wine for the soul. You don't have a whole lot of defense on the build. You've got a bit of everything, but only in small amounts. Combined with health pool being a bit low, probably why you are dying sometimes.
I'm not a LS player, but I think it is more on the squishy side, and relies a bit on destroying everything before you get hit. If your not experienced with the play style and where to stand you might be taking more damage than you need to. Still your gear should be good enough for starting maps. Try to cap lightning resistance and see what other LS players are using for defense. I would take the lucky spell suppress mastery if I was you, and try get some more evasion. Not sure how useful that shield is for you. Could be wrong, but there might be better options. As above, you don't need to run the maps alch'd until you get to yellow maps, you can progress with running them magic until you get a bit stronger if needed. Pay attention to the mods. Some wont affect your build at all and some combinations will make maps extremely harder. I don't think LS is too vulnerable to certain mods, but if your dying try and not if it is certain mods, mob types or content that is making it difficult so you can start to play around it.
