35% increased Physical Damage with Swords
Sword Attacks deal 35% increased Damage with Ailments Shouldnt this do 70% damage with physical damage over time ailments. It doesnt say 35% more physical attack damage or hit damage, it just say physical damage. Shouldnt this have to specify hit or attack to not apply to ailments on the first line? Is a physical ailment (bleed) not physical damage? I feel like most skills and supports have been somewhat wrong since the split of hit vs ailment. Last bumped on Mar 1, 2025, 2:44:03 AM

It's not expressed as a single modifier so that the "damage with ailments" isn't also limited to Physical damage, I guess. In contrast to Feller of Foes, for example.
"Damage with Swords" does imply the damage applies to attack hits, and not to damage over time. |

" How so? (honest question, not arguing) I could get it if you said nothing applied to ailments if it didnt say ailments, but many sources of +damage or more damage do apply, but they dont say ailments. Elemental Damage with Attack Skills applies to ailments and it even has attack in the skill support name. Shouldn't "35% increased Physical Damage with Swords" be "35% increased Physical Attack Damage with Swords" if its not going to apply to bleed? |

"This support has a mod "% more Elemental Damage", this is not only attacks, but also includes DoT and secondary damage caused by supported attacks. "This is unnecessary, weapons can only deal damage with attacks. Bleed does not count as damage dealt by weapons, DoT is a different type of damage. The wording is also important. For example, there are mods: % increased Damage - all damage % increased Damage with Wands - attack damage with wands % increased Damage while wielding a Wand - all damage when there is a wand in the hand |
