1K+ hours of mapping in poe2- ONE big change I want to see in 0.2.0 that isn't being addressed
Make it so that we can reroll/influence map layouts. Chaos orbing them would work or some other entirely different currency.
I hate specific map layouts and do NOT want to run them ever again. I do not want to run hidden grotto. Its garbage and also takes too long. I do not want to run seepage for the same reason. I do not want to run mire/vaal factory, also for the same reason. There are other maps that I dislike that I would probably reroll ( like oasis ) for a cost, but nothing comes close to those above three. Being forced to run these maps for another 1k hours wont make me hate them any less. For the oddball mire enjoyer out there ( 1 in a million rare disease case), he should be able to run it if he wants to, the rest of us SHOULD NOT. Make mapping great again! Also fix the lag on fortress/savannah when map is delirious. On that note, how about removing the color-removing mist and dull music from delirious maps, so our fps can breath again and get some music variety in. Delirious bonus can just appear as a buff on top left of the screen. Last edited by Skoupistras#6015 on Feb 28, 2025, 10:26:08 AM Last bumped on Mar 1, 2025, 4:21:53 AM

" This is just a BIG L take! If everyone had mindset like you gaming industry would still be stuck in the 80s playing 8bit games. It´s absolutely possible to put many hours into a game and have picked up many issues for improvements for the future. |

+1 on removing the delirium fog and music. Have some sort of visual effect, sure. But don't make it blanket the entire screen, wash out all the color, and obscure vision of mobs and ground effects.
As for the music, LOSE IT. Figure out a way to add another layer to existing music for each map, whether it's some sort of harmony or bass track, percussion, something. Anything is better than listening to the same maddening music over and over. I never bothered to distill maps for this very reason. |

Wow Seepage really? It's one of my favorite maps. It's relatively well connected in my epxerience there is not a ton of backtracking in this map. Obviously not so great for Breach etc but one of my favorite "dungeon" style maps, besides Augury.
I also think they should let us pick maps. One way they could do it is to have "uncharted" nodes perhaps, which can be one a few based on the biome, so it stays consistent with the Atlas representation. This could be like some form of currency you put in with your map, and it rerolls to another map within the same biome. Still RNG to make GGG happy, but let you avoid a map you don't like. Some Maps are a bit annoying. Vaal Factory is dangerous even.
In dont think its necessary to introduce a reroll mechanic if you tweak some maps to appear less it would already be better. But otherwise not a bad idea. Not opposed to it, i dont really care. |

The maps might be pretty to look at, but the majority of them are horrible to run.
