Path of Exile 2 Early Access Stats Snapshot
Welcome, Lilylicious! I love to see the increased transparency from GGG about the metrics of this game, pulling back the curtain a little bit, if you will. I hope you have a great time with the new gig.
" Well... since you ask... there are few stats that I've been curious about for a while now: 1. What is the player breakdown by platform (standalone client, Steam client, PS5, XBox)? We get to see Steam and Twitch numbers pretty regularly, but don't really have any sense of how well the cross-platform effort is paying off for y'all. 2. What is the breakdown of the different game modes (Default, SSF, Hardcore, Hardcore SSF)? 2a. Is this breakdown different for the different platforms? 3. Outside of SSF and HCSSF, what percentage of players are partying up (i.e. playing multiplayer)? 3a. Are these percentages different for the different platforms? 4. Assuming it's something you can query separately: outside of SSF and HCSSF, what percentage of players are actively trading? 4a. Are they using the currency exchange in game, or trading player-to-player for items? 4b. Are either of those numbers different for the different platforms? While the granular details of which builds and uniques and such are the most popular are interesting, they're also very much going to change a lot as the other half of the classes, the other half of the base item types, the other two-thirds of ascendancies, and most of the game's uniques get added to the game, so I don't feel like they're actually going to be all that informative at this stage. More details about the basics of how people are engaging with the game, though, would be very interesting, at least to me. Stay sane, exiles! a stat I'd like to see would be playtime brackets, like what portion of players play less than 1 hour in a week, 1-4 hours 5-10 hours etc... (or maybe just graph it per playtime)
also it would be interesting to have those stats for people who are between act 1-3, in cruel, finished the campaign, did a T15 map and killed the pinnacle boss, or if it's to complicated, maybe per bracket of level. percentage of the time spent in each map/town/hideout could also be an interesting metric. (or at least how long people are idling/in town/hideout vs in maps with monsters, I don't know if actual idling is a metric you could pull currently, time with the player being logged in but the game not being in focus could be interesting too) Last edited by satibel#5932 on Feb 25, 2025, 8:13:18 PM

" Gemling is higher if you restrict to level 97+ (25% on poe2.ninja), there's literally over a thousand of them out of only 4345 total 97+s. Build takes investment to get going. Le Toucan Will Return

Given some more thought to stats that would be interesting.
Gold sinks gets my vote. How much is being spent on the exchange? How much on buying ID scrolls? Buying maps? Gambling for items? How much is the gold float changing over a week (the amount sitting on characters) etc etc. Le Toucan Will Return

Wow, now this is cool!!! Please post more of these. :)
I'm curious, I would like to know the participation rate of the two trials. My hunch is that it's not very high, especially in SSF/HCSSF, but I'm happy to be wrong. Thank you! if you ever wonder if ascendancys should be nerfed or buffed for more equal %.
in my opinion it should be done by raising fun of low % ascendancys instead of buffs or nerfs to better performers. also: + Roadmap for PoE 2 EA + 6 lives in Softcore in general + 1 auction house in PoE 1 & PoE 2 |

I want to know how many people died with divines/mirrors on the ground.
Seeing what hardcore players die to would be fun as well. Suckers. |
