BLATANT DISRESPECT A SLAP TO THE FACE TO CONSOLE PLAYERS
GGG: Hey guys, we're seeing huge dropoffs. Let's implement a race with limited rewards to get people interested in the game again.
GGG_Dev: Shouldn't we fix the bugs where people with state of the art hardware aren't able to play the game without issues? GGG: Nah GGG_Dev: This is a decent idea, shouldn't we wait until the game is released? GGG: Nah GGG_Dev: Shouldn't we release all of the classes and weapons first? GGG: Nah GGG_Dev: Shouldn't we at least balance the existing classes? GGG: Nah GGG_Dev: So, if we're creating an event for only the top 0.01% of players, how is this exciting for a majority of the playerbase? GGG: It's not supposed to be fair or balanced. We just want to see our streamers having a good time, we really don't care about anybody else. The streamers will be happy and it will make it look like all of our players are happy. lol Still can't transfer items to/from Trial chest without dropping it on the ground. lets be real, even if GGG hotfixed with dual input so you could use M&K on console, locked framerates, and they *somehow* artificially fixed loading times, ya gonna lose.
This isn't a race. It's just a flex event for the .001% of players that no-life the balls out of PoE1 and 2. They're going to use builds and strats that most people wouldn't even think about in the name of efficiency and cheesing. The race is won before it started. It's like watching someone speed run your favorite game and realizing that you've been playing 2 different games the entire time lol. I'm not mad about it, just being honest. It's a race for 2nd place. Last edited by Johnny_Hotbody#4829 on Feb 26, 2025, 7:06:54 PM

" That is exactly what a race is, though. I mean, most of us are never going to place remotely near the top for real-life races... no hope of placing near the top of any race that has a big enough entrant pool. Only a select few "no-life" athlete types will have a chance. It's why when they announced a race, I tuned out immediately. It's a pointless event. they have nothing new to add so they want drum up some hype that is aimed solely at the streamers, content creators and those with unlimited playtime
Its simple PR ignore it, but i think it gives an insight into the mindset of the devs... |

" Exactly! This is a warning and I'm happy to think about all the time I will NOT be wasting on a game just to be waiting and hoping for a stable game and fun multiplayer experience. This event has really helped me to understand priorities, and you're 100% right. If they didn't do this, I'd still be hoping for the GGG of old, but now I'm free from the illusion. |

This is the characteristic of GGG.
They don't consider the player's experience at all. Just use your imagination. |

The event is geared towards an esoteric few by design. It is an event GGG are using for free advertising using their new paid streamers. PC players have literally no more chance of winning than console players.
18 worthless prizes with a mythical laptop isn't an event aimed at the majority. It is a lazy placeholder event that will be used to advertise on twitch etc. |

OP could have the best running PC and all the "advantages" and still has no chance to win the race. Why is this an actual concern?
My hope is only like 1000 players actually attempt to compete in this garbage event. |
