Event so pointless I can't bother hitting 80 -- Just me?

I think my favorite thing about this event is that it's making it really obvious who actually knows how to play the game and who struggles when they don't have a build guide to copy-paste.

Level 80 is like... day 1 stuff. You can get to eighty in white maps wearing blue items, as long as you understand the basic mechanics of the game.

The event is ok, i wouldnt say great. its playable though. way better than poe2. ive just build the town a lot at this point and its exhausting. Sc pvt league, gauntlet, hcssf, sett-necro hcssf, and now this league. im over town building.

The idol systems sucks a lot of the fun out of it since a lot of the unique ones have downsides that dont exist on the tree normally. i think it would have been better with just the atlas tree.

Ore being in heist would have been nice too. but whatcanyoudo

It is a complete and utter shakeup of the entire game. First time (ever) this has happened. Except maybe pre-3.0, but even that was smaller in scale in terms of build diversity. People don't like it because its different, they have no interest in learning something new (see the hate for PoE 2).

The ascendancies are (with a few exceptions) incredible. After 10+ years, the game is all about making the most powerful, most crazy builds you can and this event (not even a league, mind you) opens hundreds of doors for ideas.


The base game hasn't changed because its not a new league, which has clearly ticked you off. But its an event, not a league. And you have most certainly lost what makes PoE great in the first place: build creation and broken ideas.

What kind of build + ascendancy are you doing?
What aspects of the gameplay are you not enjoying right now?

Maybe you are a bit burnt out on the game?
Happens to me every league, then i need to take a break for a couple of months to go back into the game fresh (usually with every big new league)

But Phrecia has been a cool gust of fresh wind, just being able to enjoy the game i love, with some new rules that tickle the loot goblin in me.

I fully understand its not for everyone.

In settlers of kalguur i think i only have like 20 challenge points although i have 38-40 for the last 3 leagues before that, as those challenges just werent fun for me to do, so i didnt.

Preserve your fun for a hobby i assume you put thousands of hours into.

Lazy idols, not prepared event..... idols are terrible, spending a lot of time searching for what i want, getting what i want... atlas was OP, this is really bad

This kind of response is exactly why GGG assumed it would be no big deal if they just cancel POE 1 ~ the fans don't care.

Yeah users like that are one of the main reasons why PoE1 is indefinitely screwed.
