Map tab disappointment + wish for news about upcomming content from developer

I was excited to see that map tabs were finally a thing, and in a moment of innocence, I logged on expecting to find it when I opened the atlas.

Not only was I kind of disappointed to see that I have to purchase it (which, I will admit, is on me), but also learn that you have to access it from the stash.

I for one think its kiiiiiind of BS that such a basic QoL addition is an additional purchase, double so for the people who already paid to play the early access, and then have it NOT be a convenient way to store and browse maps while you're inside the atlas.

Its just a downright weird implementation, and one that (personally) grinds me a bit.

____

Appreciate having the game to keep me company while I've been sick the last few months, but I guess its as good a time as any to take a break now.

I'll be back, as I've really wanted to play the druid, so my last 10 cents is that I wish the developer would be a bit more forward in what they plan/hope to release of the unfinished content, as that's the kind of news I keep hoping for!

Would be nice to access directly from map device itself i guess (like relics for Sekhema)

Another few points i'd like to make:
1) When you move maps from inventory->stash with ctrl-click, it moves them always to first avaiable sub-tab with appropriate tier rather than currently open one, disregarding any attempt at user sorting other than manually moving maps with mouse (brrr....).
Suggestion: when ctrl-click, try to place map at currently open sub-tab at first, and only when there is no place, at any free place elsewhere.
2) Delirium: for whatever reason, juiced maps overtaken by delirium tab. This shouldnt happen anymore (or, happen only if user have Deli tab but not Map tab). As for transfer order, see p.1.
3) I understand that you made universal layout between tiers, but was it really necessary to make 6 sub-tabs for map tiers 1-10?? Unless you going to rebalance endgame, those tabs will never ever see any use, as you even manually can't place anything at all different there.

I want my money back, this stashtab is just a money grab!!
My god, you guys will be happy about anything, will you?
Hi, first of all, I'll thank you too for the implementation of the map tab, but in an hour of playing, several reasons for annoyance have already piled up.
In addition to the points voiced by the guys above:
1) access map tab in the atlas interface;
2) move waystone to the current opened sub-tab if possible (instead of the first sub-tab)

I will add a few more wishes:
3) when opening a stash and moving to the waystone tab, open that map tier and sub-tab that was opened in last time (now after returning from a map, T1-waystones is automatically opened)
4) tabs navigation via keyboard between tier-tabs and between sub-tabs in one tier: via wasd / ←→↑↓ / ctrl+tab ctrl+shift+tab
5) ability to copy/duplicate styles and names of sub tabs on different tier of maps; for example, I want stylized sub-tabs ez / ez mf / hard / hard mf / citadel / trash for t15 and t16 but no wanna spend time on this for each tier.

I'm kind of on the fence on this one...

EA cost $30, basically the equivalent price of the 300 coins you got for the basic EA key...

Without a crystal clear list of what's included in the game and the fact the map stash tab was ported so late, I imagine a lot of new players have already spent all the 300 coins in some stash tabs and some cosmetics.
If they knew the map tab wasn't included with the "base-game", they'd have saved some coins to buy it later, since maps/waystones are basically the foundation of the endgame.

At the same time players could have searched about the map tab being an MTX and, well, GGG is not forced to publicly announce what's included and what's not. You bought EA because you wanted.

Knowing GGG and their strategies, in my personal opinion, this was a scummy (and intentional) move, and I think some new players will feel the same. It will make them feel like GGG is taking advantage of the EA status and slow patches to deliberately squeeze more revenue out of uninformed players. Might also make them feel like the game is P2W, since basic things like the currency tab, waystone tab and trading are all barred behind MTX.

Omfg.

Stop your whining. Nobody forces you to buy the tab. Why would you get a free map tab when I only get mine "for free" in PoE 2 because I have already paid for it in PoE1?

How does that make any sense whatsoever?

Geezus. You D4 players will complain about the tiniest things. I say it again: This is NOT EA, nor Blizzard. Moaning will get you nowhere here.

An Army of people (seriously) QQ'ed all the way to the end of the known universe after Harvest league in PoE 1. And guess what? Nothing changed.
Only complaint I have is that it would have been nice to have a precursor tablets slot (even a generic dump in one slot one) in the map stash tab.
Otherwise happy with it.

Really? complaining about buying the map stash? ofc you have to buy it, paying 30$ for early access doesn't give you the right to free stash MTX, you have to buy them if you didn't have them already in PoE1. Also...you already spent your 300 points? People on these forums...

+1

They have the code to do it with especialization sub-tabs, one for each mechanic. Like a they did with the waystones. But, GGG has been so sloppy lately that people have to beg or go on a rage before they do anything at minimum quality.
