Namelocking: The Source of All Skill Clunkiness and Combat Feel Issues

+1

Just implent an Option to deactivate softlock, so we can choose if we want it on or off. I myself like to have full control with Mouse & Keyboard and no softlock.

So pls give us the option to activate or deactivate softlock.
This is easily one of the biggest problems with the game right now. Each time it happens it plants the seed in your mind that you are not in control of targeting at all, so why even bother trying to be precise? It feels so #$%^ing bad. Its such a glaring flaw that its really hard to ignore, or move past.
Update:

"
Added functionality to set targeting mode per skill when using a controller.

Hoping that it's related to namelocking, or related to future changes.

Set Targetting for each skill would be perfect for M&K.

bump lol it just adds to how bad it feels to use skills that are super clunky already like whirling slash. Can't use "dont move while casting" because then you literally just spin in place instead of towards cursor.

GGG fix ur shit! This was not worth controller support!
forced namelock is one of the reasons why I quit the game very early on 0.1.0. makes the game super clunky and boring.
"buff grenades"

There's still time, you can either make it to be infinite, or as soon as possible, upto you. Both have problems, for me and potentially for you.
I have experienced exactly this issue when playing ED/Contagion with Lich where my ED would cast in a completely different direction to my cursor. This significantly slows down clear time as I cannot get Contagion to reliably chain cause my ED is shooting in the wrong direction.

I have found that the "stop moving when attaking' toggle per skill helps ever so slightly, however, it decreases survivability a lot.

Really hoping we can get a fix for this where abilities fire in the direction of your cursor (if using M&K) and not on softlocked targets.
This has been so frustrating while trying to level with a bow.
Every singular projectile skill magnetizes itself to some enemies' current position, which isn't where the enemy is anymore when the skill actually arrives.

This would be fine if I could lead my shots, but the range in which it targets enemies is so large, that I have to find some spot on the corner of my screen, or right infront of my character, so it doesn't target anything and actually fires where I want it to.
