PvP Proposal for Path of Exile 2 – Invasions and PvP Map Crafting

First of all, thank you for the incredible work on PoE 2! The game looks amazing, but I feel that it lacks a chaotic and fun PvP experience, which could naturally fit into the game's world. Main Idea – PvP Through Invasions and Map Crafting Taking inspiration from the invasion mechanics in the Souls series, it would be amazing to introduce a unique PvP format where players could encounter each other in unpredictable ways, making PvP an organic part of the game rather than just an isolated mode. 1. Invasions in Maps Introduce a special PvP map modifier that allows random players to invade an ongoing map run. A player activating this PvP modifier would receive increased loot rewards, but with the risk of facing an "invader." The invader is a real player who enters the host's map with the goal of defeating them or making their run more difficult. The host could have the option to activate "defenders" (other players or NPCs) to counter the invasion. Introduce a "revenge system", allowing players to invade back if they were killed in PvP. 2. Crafting Maps with PvP Modifiers Map modifiers could introduce different PvP conditions, such as: "Eye of the Abyss" – an enemy player may invade at any time, but the host gets 30% increased rewards. "Blood Sacrifice" – all flask effects are 50% weaker, and the PvP winner gets a rare crafting shard. "Shadow Arena" – if the host is killed, they can challenge the invader to a rematch in a special PvP zone. "Duel of Fate" – if the host defeats the invader, they win one of their cartography-related items. 3. Unique PvP Formats and Fun Mechanics Introduce "Hideout Raids" – periodic PvP attacks on hideouts where players must defend their loot. Implement "Boss Invasions", allowing one player to temporarily control a boss and fight against another player. Add a "PvP Mutator", which randomly applies restrictions (e.g., melee combat only, no auras, etc.). Why This Would Be Amazing Dynamic and engaging PvP content that enhances rather than disrupts the core gameplay. Unpredictable encounters, making each map run unique and exciting. Increased player interaction in fresh and innovative ways. Completely optional PvP, allowing players to opt-in for greater rewards or disable it entirely. I truly believe that such a system would make the game even deeper and more engaging. I hope you find this idea interesting! Thanks for taking the time to read player feedback. When the game is all about one shotting or getting one shot because the developper doesn't know how to balance thing. I say no, this would be a terrible idea.

As much as ideas sound a hell of fun, considering GGG has hardly ever covered ground in terms of balance since the release of PoE1, this only adds insult to injury.
However, this has great potential to be on the stretch goal list if one day they could be saved from the mindset of PoE1. "This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take"
