Im sick of random deaths.
To progress 98+ one needs like few hours for each death... I've died few times already 95+ and half of these were unpredictable for me with no counter action to take because i dont even know why i've been killed.
Today juiced vaal factory. I kill mobs from distance so as you can see theres none on the screen so something killed me offscreen. It felt like damage reflect back in the day of poe1... Nothing hit me yet i've died instantly (high res ofc, minus crit taken etc). You're running (at least) delirium + ritual on a triple damage mod map using a character with 1 max health.

I Haven't started a rite yet. I was just getting close to the area but there were no mobs in visible area so it had to be offscreen hit. Yes its a juiced map but i just dont know what was it. Is there some caster mob with poor visibility or instant lg spell that can hit me offscreen? It felt like my own LC hit me :P
Im not a glass cannon full mana/ stat meta. I have a lot of shield recovery, stun threshold etc for survivability because i wanted to hit level 100 but the steep curve vs poe1 and these random kills are a good demotivator. Last edited by PKCoiloversPL#2586 on Feb 12, 2025, 3:42:14 PM

I dont know if logging every numerical calculations like that hurts performance, maybe thats reason. no expertise on the area but just assumption. Numbers being calculated anyway, but loggin them to show user as deathrecap may bring performance issues maybe...

Died 2 more times and since last time and all 3 deaths were the same, but this time i've seen what it was.
It's an offscreen lightning bolt on maps with crit dmg and extra lightning damage. It probably has some hidden penetration or the numbers are just way overtuned cause im running with over 20k in shield/mana combo now and 80% lightning resistance just in case and thats still not enough to survive one hit. |
