" PoE2 is in a really bad state and is going to take years before it pivots in the right direction. Which is why PoE1 is so important. Jonathan made a huge mistake transferring the PoE devs over to PoE2 because now none of us have anything to do, but beta test a game that is still three years out, at the very minimum. The hate for PoE2 right now is justified. |

" Hate is a big word. POE II is a good game but it's far from being what we (and the devs) actually wanted. They wanted to put out a revolutionary milestone in the genre. This failed, they "just" put out a good game. The framework is there but hot damn, there is a lot of work required on this to make it into a masterpiece like POE 1 is. They came a long way polishing POE 1 into a state where adding new leagues and keeping it relevant doesn't even require THAT much effort on their part. The core game is rock solid there. In POE 2 it's not. |
