We were promised Chris Wilson would continue to make PoE 1 content

Ya know I see a lot of people going hard at the Doomers or anyone upset. But I very clearly remember GGG saying Chris Wilson will continue to be making PoE 1 while Johnathan takes on PoE II.

So where is Chris? Why has No one said a damn thing about it? I find this nearly more disturbing than a 7 month long league.

also curious about this. i do understand that things change in life and clearly there has been prio shift but this could be communicated a bit better. we all go to weird places with our imagination when we lack information

Chris thought Ruthless was a good idea, it's better that he's not around.

Just give us Mark back.
PoE2 is a great tutorial for PoE1.

It was a good idea, I've enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than continuing to play loot dumpster space ship shooter mode of the game.

Just because the 1button cookie clicker gamers don't like it doesn't mean it was a bad idea.

Now the execution of the mode was really really poor which is too bad and I think it disappointed even its target niche.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.
I would also like to know GGG if Chris is still part of the company. Would be nice to have him speak about the new event league coming up.

He's still publically listed as the Managing Director of GGG and there's no reason to doubt it. He handed the "public face" of POE1 to Mark and POE2 to Johnathan not very long ago and stated he would still be directing the business side of the company.

He's a good dude, he evidently got tired of 1button types telling him his vision was bad because they want a weightless mindless cookie clicker and thats not really what GGG set out to make.

I think they should have left the atlas tree completely alone and just made the loot and skill gem changes put a cooldown on movement skills and Ruthless would have been vastly more interesting but they over engineered it and turned off even people who would have been "target players" like Alk and Quin.

I play Ruthless more than any other POE1 mode but its always just "off" it could be great if it had a normal atlas tree and a few other sensible balance tweaks.

imo the atlas changes should have been exact opposite to what they made, leave everything normal and remove all nodes with +maps etc. the tree became so dull and its actually the only reason why i didn't play a lot of Ruthless. otherwise really fun game mode
