Stopped playing PoE2 - Endgame Feedback
Hi GGG.
Stopped playing PoE2 because of endgame. Feels to much of a grind for no reason at all. My main concerns are as follows. Too much RNG for some mechanics in the game. - Want to spec in to Ritual: Find the invitation; - Want to spec in to Expedition: Find a Logbook and hope there's a boss in it. Killing the most endgame (killing the boss of the mechanic) to start to spec in to it is horrible decision. You have to farm it a lot, and have luck in those farms, to start to have a better experience in it. This decision makes no sense to me, is just a worst experience then PoE1. The endgame fells horrible not just because of that, but mostly the map objective of killing all rares makes it not fun and tiring some. One portal per map, with losing all of the content in a map it fells like a hardcore like experience in softcore. If I want to play hardcore, I would play hardcore. Please reconsider this. Another point of concern right now is crafting. To much RNG! - Having to get bases for items to craft and brick 99% of then is a horrible crafting system. It gives players no agency and only the most top of players who play non stop or have a lot a currency have ways to craft. - I like the omen system, but is to much out of reach to the normal player, and this just sucks. Like the new Atlas system, it is fun, but not as a main way to play endgame. Would like it to be a side way to farm, not the main way. Last bumped on Feb 4, 2025, 1:31:20 PM

" God bless these people. Otherwise, we would have mourning, not an upcoming event in Poe1. On Probation Any%

That the "League Mechanics" have backwards progress is a weird choice.
To fight the boss for points you need the key, but to get the key you need the shards/fragments or insane luck in ritual, but to get a reasonable amount of shards/fragments you need points in the mechanic. Doesn't make much sense atm and the amount of time is crazy. I hope the currency "Atlas System" is an oversight caused by the short development time or a placeholder. |

I agree with the atlas points. It would be nice if the basic atlas map had all the +breach splinters and +simulacrum splinters, etc, nodes. So that we could build towards a mechanic.

" I know a lot of new players that play a lot, actually play, and not complain about difficulty. My point was its cringe that its old poe1 player that struggle with poe2, while new poe2 players have no issues. |

"When you don't have any point of reference, any lose broken dirty pebble seems to worthy more than a shiny diamond."
OP is right. The game design to sustain mechanics and earn Atlas points is convoluted and nonsensical. If we are not buying from others, the time spent vs the time doing the activities are not worthy it. |

It's because this game wasn't made for normal people; it was made for ultra-degen no-life virgins with autism. That's who they want playing their game; so that's who they will get. Except it seems a lot of them hate it too and switched back to PoE 1.

" Exactly. I play PoE for 3 leagues, I'm a new player and just the last league I got to do challenges. Before PoE I've played D4 and didn't find any problem with that game, it was the first ARPG I'd played at the time. But after playing PoE and Last Epoch I understand what I was missing out on. And just because I criticize the game doesn't mean I've disliked it. Unlike others I find PoE2 a better game in it's core then PoE1, and the campaign is amazing. The endgame just sucks and doesn't respect my time, unlike PoE1 does. Other issue it's just the lack of player agency in the game as a whole, that's what I've found fun in the first game, but I've posted that before.
