POE 2. Items disappearing after walking away from them and the interact doesn’t come back.

I’m having similar issue. Although I see nothing on the ground as I’m running, it will show that I’ve just picked up gold. I can hear loot dropping. Also when I open a chest I can see Luke coming out of it and I see it laying on the ground, but there’s no text and no option for me to pick it up. I’m on Xbox. everything was working fine. I started freythorn, cleansed the three podiums got to the boss and would not spawn. this is on cruel difficulty by the way. after this, I started having the loot issue.

Same. I keep having to go in options to turn it back on. Happens no matter what loot filter I'm using. Haven't tried filters off... That would be really annoying

This is happening because of a skill called "toggle label visibility" make sure the icon is showing an opened eye!
