Minions can now briefly squeeze through smaller gaps if they've failed to move for a short period

But why?

Why do the minions have to stop at a "smaller gap" to think about it "for a short period"? Why can't they just move through the smaller gap, that they're capable of moving through inevitably anyway, immediately?

Why is it so impossible to make minions, in either game, intelligent, responsive, and perform like an extension of the summoner? They're never "OP" anyway. They're never on top of any lists. Other builds can zoom through maps instantly laying waste to screens of enemies yet we're always waiting on our minions to actually kill stuff, or to catch up. If we go too fast, we have zero DPS while moving. Why do we always have to have underperforming, dumb minions?

In the past we've gotten support gems to actually control our minions properly; to make them defensive, or aggressive, and so on. Should we get a support gem that makes minions move through gaps immediately? Should we get a support gem that makes minions intelligent? Would that be better?

Look I for sure appreciate any step in the right direction as a step in the right direction, but why not just go in the right direction all the way while you're at it.
