While i agree PoE 1 is likely more fun, telling people "Hey if youve only played PoE2 and arnt having fun, go to PoE1, its way better" Is a WILD HOT TAKE.
PoE1 has so many systems, which are not explained in the slightest. The community rarely responds to basic questions about most crafting systems, and it's an absolute cluster fk. I say this, having returned to Necropolis league after not playing PoE since pre leagues, and trying to wrap my head around crafting with the next to no/limited resources available made me hate the game in the end. Yes, PoE1 is objectively a more refined and tuned game, with more mechanics for success, but don't pretend like that, for a new comer, its the equivilant of a sifting through a dumpster fire to figure anything out(and don't get it wrong, i loved PoE1, but its not the fairytale you make it out to be) |

" Since we're having this insane downtime going on, it's definitely a great time to get used to all the complex systems (which I agree are not newcomer friendly at first, but there's no rush to get everything in a first playthrough). Bunch of basic questions going on in league global chat and people have been quite nice to them as we are all in the same boat(pun not intended) of not enjoying PoE2 EA's current direction. So yeah. " advertisement wut? it got fille in a day before the league even starts, so there were not even anyone streaming it. WDYM... now we're getting some extra spots but the waitlist alone will almost fill it instantly. it's just people enjoying what they expected GGG would do... a fresh league. I saw the stream early this morning and am going to try out his chieftain build and trying the necro settlers league. Haven't played much in years but had a blast when I did.
