A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players
I understand why people are upset and say that GGG is "lying" but in fact they wasnt lying on purpose at all. They gave a promise that they were absolut confident about, at the time they gave it. Now they are standing on a whole new ground and couldn't forseen all the problems that comes with it. So they made a decision and clarified their point on that. Of course it feels bad that some things are delayed and they focus on one project for now. In that case it's the new project "PoE2" instead of the long time runner "PoE1". I think it's the right decision they made. To bring out a new game is never an easy task. Especially when you want to make it a good one. Can't imagine what the games will end up if they rush things to fast and put out some unfinished content etc. Don't get me wrong i loved the cycles of 3 months till new League in PoE1, but in fact i played the most of them just for nearly a month till i had the 36 - 40 Challenges done, so my whole life doesnt hang on it and there are many other things to enjoy in the meantime.
And with the "trust and loyality" towards GGG and the way they expanded PoE1 i will still stick to them. The reason for that is simple. Experience. I played PoE1 for over a decade now. GGG never let anything down in the way of improving and making their game better. So in the long run both games wins from the experience they collect now from bringing up PoE2. Give them the time they need to fix their stuff and improve even further and come back and enjoy the game when it's done. No Problems with that, or? IGN : eXpKazehana

Is the end time of necro settlers event league extended as well?
It's late, but I'd like to enjoy the event league now because the 3.26 is delayed |

Well. Not surprised. And I dont really see it getting better. I mean, even when 2020 is "stable", whatever that means, Poe2 is still going to need mountains of work. And the only thing I like about poe 2 is the production value. The game systems are disappointingly garbage.
As it stands, I'd be happy playing more poe1 with the new models. Longer breaktime I guess. Pity for streamers, and it'll be interesting to see how it pans out for GGG (and us) in the long run. I've gotten thousands of hours out of Poe1 though, so nothing to sneeze at. Nothing lasts forever. |

" At what point does deviating from the course of action you have said you will take and the one you are taking behind these scenes while still saying you are on the original course become a lie? |

Alright... I have been playing poe since beta and am a huge fan missed only one league since the beginning..
What you said in november was that the delay was due to microtransaction issues, why did you need the team of Poe1 to work on poe 2? This is kind of misleading. So no new season in february maybe not march either because you need to monitor poe2.0.2. THEN you gonna work on Poe1.. so we got Kalguur for a whole year Boat has been gone a long time now, must have encountered pirates im guessing (see what I did there, reffering to boats in Kalguur, this is funny right? Righht?!.. ) Ok moving on Also this is a beta we are not expecting it to be perfect with no crashes and good end game with perfect balance at this point you can all give yourself a pat in back you did good enough for the beta and take your time with all the data collected and push it at launch in the summer? Take your time to push 0.2 later is what I mean.. I'm just thinking your are putting way too much effort on making a masterpiece when it is still a work in progress and that perfectly fine with most of us. It is a beta. Please dont make poe1 less of a priority, your real fans are Poe1 players not Poe2 beta 0.2 |

I don't care. For me POE1 has hit "end of road". It's been quite a long road, but it's been a long time since POE1 was interesting. In oon 2 and staying there, warts and all. Settlers of Kalguur was just another waste of my time...
Eeeek!

I have a feeling that GGG, over time, will start to launch a poe 1 league and two poe 2 leagues, until poe 1 has its launch drastically reduced. That's the feeling I have. |

" About 4 weeks ago, when they came back from vacation and hadn't worked on 3.26 at all, and saw the mountain of tickets from PoE2. It should have been obvious then that they weren't going to be able to keep the schedule they had talked about previously. I think it's around that point that it turns from well-meaning but overly optimistic to either project management incompetence or implicit deceit. Sirus once said:
"The others found strength in their projections, they became reliant on them. I am not so foolish." GGG this quoting fits better what is happening than Izarus's in the post. Last edited by jafbueno#6459 on Jan 31, 2025, 1:38:02 PM
