Thanks for letting us know you have nothing in the works for your loyal PoE1 fans that supported you for the past decade. God forbid you take a few eyes away from your precious PoE2 by working on a league or event right now.

If there's one thing that GGG has truly become like Blizzard, it's how the forums are brimming with egotistical maniacs who believe they speak for every PoE1 player, and feel BETRAYED by the absence of the new league. Not to mention they conveniently "forget" that PoE1 is entirely playable, with servers up and running, a bustling economy, all that jazz.

Reading through the tears and gnashing of teeth, you'd think PoE1 was shut down and your cosmetics were burned in a digital dump fire.

Are you guys truly unable to express your discontent without resorting to such grandiloquent displays of frustration?

It was an oversight that is typical with growing pains. You're going to have to wait for something (OMG the end of the world!!!!) while they are confronted with realities of constraint. Good time to grow up boys.

Meh, with Poe2 out (even if it's EA) Poe1 feels like a dead game anyway, new league or not. Looking forward to more Poe2 content!

Where would POE2 be without POE1? Where would GGG be without the POE1 players who supported them with dozens of supporter's packs? Where would GGG and POE be without the community who developed tools that enhance the gameplay experience like POB, Neversink and all the crafting, currency and trade tools.

The Game Director for POE2 is on record saying he didn't like POE1, and stopped paying attention to it many years ago. Why is someone who didn't like the game that made them what they are working on the sequel?

90% of the 'content' in POE2 is a direct copy+paste of POE1 content. Yet somehow it feels like a lifeless husk and hardly captures any of the joy that made POE1 great. The things that POE2 do that aren't copy+paste, are garbage, uninspired and designed to waste your time.

If POE2 was released under any other name, without the nostalgia and loyalty from POE1 players, it would not be as popular. GGG is throwing away what little patience many of us have left for the endless lies, platitudes and delays.
