BUFF WHIRLING ASSAULT
" Very unlikely to happen because only Warstaff skills can build Combo for the Bell to be used . Which means you'll still need high volume skills such as Ice Strike / Tempest Flurry . Cyclone would be redundant with them . By the way Flicker Strike should definitely build Combos from additional strike , it's a damn shame it does not . " Hmm, yeah, that's true. Ice Strike/Tempest Flurry still reign supreme, then. I'm with you on allowing attack speed to affect either Whirling Assault's duration or number of ticks. I'd also add the function of letting us hold down the attack button to let us continue channeling it like Cyclone, then canceling it by letting go. Currently, the only way to cancel WA is by rolling. Agreed on Flicker as well. Flicker not being able to build combo (despite striking enemies) or being able to sustain its own Power Charges is really sad. " Yes rolling is also the only way to cancel Flicker Strike other than running out of Power Charges . About FS substain i had better results with the basic 3 Power Charges / low passive investment / quick power generation ( combat frenzy + mark of crit ) over builds with 7+ Power Charges and any kind of heavy passive investment . FS is really good for teleportation shortcuts when mapping and repeated short bursts of zooming / armor explosion / mana leech which combines well with Ice Strike & Bell . i never got satisfied with it when i tried to do "Flicker Strike Only" type of build . " Yeah, that's more or less how I ran Flicker (with Lingering Illusion for added power charge generation). Flicker's other big issue is that it has a tendency to throw you straight into unpulled packs, which I don't remember being as much of a problem in PoE1. This is likely due to PoE1 Flicker letting you cancel it at any time by simply letting off the gas, though, instead of having to roll out of a dangerous teleport. |

Talking about non-elemental skills for QStaves, the only thing I wanted was a Splash support gem. Playing Warrior 2h with Mace, Cultist Mace + Herald feels so good. I wished I could do something similar with my Acolyte of Chayula.
