Trials are not fun

The trials aren’t fun. Bottom line. The fact that it takes waaaaaaay to long to do them is one thing but to make you start completely over if you get beat by the 3rd boss is a little much. I understand you want people to work for them but it takes away from the rest of the game that I want to play but I can’t because my power is locked behind garbage mechanics like NOT GETTING HIT! Please fix this. I don’t want to spend hours doing something because I have to, I want to play the good part of the game. Not bang my head on dog crap mechanics in an already heavily one shot mechanic game.

They need to completely rethink the ascendency in POE2. They reused two mechanics POE had as optional side content. That is where these half luck based events belong. They have no place in the core character progression. We need trials that test our character's build not its build and the player's luck.
The trials are ok if you only needed to do them once. But I do agree. The fact that they are farmable is great. But for some reason. I didnt find them fun either. And they are pretty easy so it's not a difficulty issue. waystones are just way more fun.
Trial of Sekhemas is pretty easy and enjoyable once you figure out what to do.

For example
- Stack 75% honor resistance on relics
- Get at least +20% movement speed
- Never take a room with only one exit if you are not 100% sure that you can hadle the next one
- Dodge roll alot

Unfortunately, you often do not have the luxury to chose, because you have to avoid really bad afflictions, too.

That leads to situations where you have to chose between taking a bad affliction now or risk that the room you have to go through later will have one as well.

Also, just because you have two choices doesn't mean you won't get one that can screw up your run, e. g.:

I also had the case that three choices were bad more than once.

This is the worst about Sekhema indeed : with my CI Monk i had a run where i was forced to go into a room with No Evasion affliction . Then next run i rolled a random affliction from an altar ... which removed my ES completely .
In both cases i died several room later bc i could not get rid of it due to Affliction removal being very RNG .

Trial of Chaos is much better than Sekhema in this regard : afflictions can be bad but they aren't crippling , and you always have 3 options when it comes to "picking your poison" .

The most funny thing about that particular affliction is that it also removes the honour you had from your ES and of course grim remnants also do not work anymore.

Yep with CI Monk i had to survive through 2 or 3 maps with 1 HP / 1 ES / 1 Honour to attempt a removal of this affliction ( +90% Evasion & very high DPS kept me alive ) but then the Scorpion boss fight insta-ended my misery

Meditate / Grim Remnant does work but you get 1 HP / 2 ES / 2 Honour when the ES is at 200% lmao

No evasion in Sekhemas is perfectly manageable. You are supposed to dodge all hits not take them and pray for your character to evade. I took no evasion with my ranger and finished trials with no problem. Also I almost never take random afflictions. I rather avoid all rooms with water and fountains than take a random affliction honestly.

I understand that sometimes you can have bad luck but people act like all of their runs are bad or extremely difficult while my experience is completely opposite so either I'm super lucky or I learned how to play trials.

I'm ( no longer ) one of the people arguing that Sekhema is the worst thing evar : other than these 2 runs i talked about all the runs i did with my endgame build have been zero difficulty speed-farming . But yes i still believe Sekhema is too RNG dependent and you need too much preparation to farm it .
