they said there will be an announcement late january and a league in february.
if its again not like they told us, then ill stop supporting them.

i doubt we wouldn't get a 3.26 tbh if we don't they basically admit using the player base for their support and lying to them like crazy doubt they would get much support if that happens.

They said PoE1 would carry on but I have a hard time believing that now.

Please don't kill PoE 1 it is in a much better state then PoE 2 will be for at least 1 or 2 years.

That does not necessarily mean what you think it means. GGG is known for such cheeky replies, so this could very well mean "We have no plans for 3.26, but this new league we have planned is actually called 4.0 and it marks another major milestone for us." - or maybe they will forego that naming scheme altogether. Bex may no longer be with us, but she's still here.

Not from all of us though. Some of us will just say "thanks for the fish" and move on.

It's been a good run. 10 years of a game is hard to beat. Only one other game has held my attention this long.

I'm starting to fear that GGG has mutated from a "player for player" studio to a Blizzard 2.0 AAA studio

for me there are no reasons for the silence and it is not work either... anyone can write 3 sentences while sitting on the toilet... even if it said "we don't know what to do at the moment and will let the current league continue for 3 months" this would be an answer

but there is only silence. if it stays like this then it is not my problem because I have a company and need players/customers. then I will just play something else

In corporate capitalism what matters is the money we spend quarterly or annually. Past support and how much was spent is irrelevant. I was never a whale, but if I was I would be spending thousands of $ through the decade with $150-300 annual support.

When supporters stop supporting (regardless of how much in the past) the game will be in a "maintenance" mode. How many examples the industry has had through the last two decades like with World of Warcraft?

The majority of the whales have already stopped spending/supporting like the OP indicates. GGG could be releasing PoE leagues every two months easily, but that requires hiring more employees and they don't see the "investment" being worth it based on their current data.

The F2P monetizing model GGG choose is now backfiring.
