Dying is too punishing

I spent like 2 hours pathing around mountains and lakes to get to a citadel. I died on the boss, I failed to notice that there was damage as extra chaos, damage as extra cold AND monster attack speed on the waystone I used. Can you blame me though? I mean everything I've done for the last 2 hours was easy, I can run any combination of mods on regular maps. Then I get complacent for one second and my 2 hours of time is wasted. I have some very strong feelings about this and I would really like to swear but I'm gonna keep it together and just post contructive feedback. The solution here isn't even that hard, just give us more portals. I will never understand the decision to punish people this much for dying. Not only did I lose 2 hours of progress but I lost 10% xp at 95 which is just the extra kick in the nuts on top of the slap in the face. I wish I could refund a lot of my purchases at this point, I am very disappointed in the design decisions in this game. Absolute lack of respect for player time.

You spent two hours playing the game.

Your time wasn't stolen or lost, it wasn't direspected, you played knowing the content was risky, and did anyways for the rewards.

Yes, you can blame yourself for not paying attention to the content you engaged with and that killed you. Nobody else can blame you for that ; and you can't either blame the game for offering a difficult challenge that you jumped in blindfolded.

He can critique the one portal though.

He can critique the one portal though.

Yes, he can.

He can also learn from his mistake and grow from it.

It's one or the other.

Choose wisely.
Yeah I learned, learned how to uninstall

Actually it's both. But I can see how you wouldn't be capable of grasping that.
tldr; do not put 2x damage on your bosses

Well seems like dying isn't punishing enough.

Yes, absolutely. Did you even CHECK the mods on the waystone you're about to run? No wonder there's so many "dying bad" posts, people basically run 350% incoming damage maps without even looking.

GGG should just put everyone on hardcore for a week or two.

Why not both?

I burned myself really badly tasting my chili. I failed to notice that it said "Carolina Reaper" on the package of my peppers. Can you blame me though?
