Why are comms so scarce?

Very good question. Maybe they took another 3 week break?

Sounds plausible, Chinese New Year is coming up!

I think that more communication would just result in further exposing that they've lost touch with the community. The last interview was poor. It didn't address anything major, didn't give any real answers, didn't talk about the future much.

I could be wrong. If the game didn't have major issues and instead just needed content then I would understand zero comms followed by content patch dump to a shocked community. But the community right now is obviously unhappy about some core stuff in the game and that isn't being talked about by GGG.

The last interview wasn't great I agree. It seemed rushed and looked like they were still coming fresh out of the holiday break without looking at much of the feedback given. That's why it's even more important to keep in touch with the community imo. Let's have a discussion about GGGs philosophies regarding some stuff. They could even just put out a manifesto of some sort.

I don't want to beat that horse even more, but back when Bex was around we had much more detailed updates at league launches aswell. They updated their league launch thread daily for the first week, including player numbers and some other statistics. I miss those days.

WASNT GREAT? it was bad LOL. why people so scare to tell the truth about the product they literaly paid?
Thats the problem! STop copium and hoping for NO REASON. People complain, doing feedback, sending their game experience here etc,etc - ZERO answers. It looks like GGG released their game and went for voaction till autumn where they want to launch new league.
In other words they dont act like this is EA or BETA or ALPHA, they act like this is finished product, thats it.

In what world is it hard to visit forum from GGG account and atleast post something like " we doing a big patch! we thinking about balance or ... etc". Is it THAT hard?
Nah, im done, im mad.

And how do you expect them to respond to X threads per day about the same thing? People can't even use search and just create more and more threads. And even if another player write and answer no one actually read that and the same threads pop up over and over again. There is one good feedback for every 50 useless threads. Answering to them will be too exhausting and probably pointless.

Because they don't care. They're not making the game for the players, they're making it for GGG

And that's the whole point imo. At the beginning of PoE 1 GGG said that their goal is to make a game they want to play in the first place. That was their vision but over the time PoE became more like a game for other players. Now the are trying again with PoE 2.

From their comments during the last interview I assumed they don’t play PoE2 at all.
