Trials ruin the whole game.
I have hated trials ever since they were introduced into PoE1. And you have managed to make them so much worse in 2. They are a boring and miserable slog the NEEEED to be removed from 'required' content.
Sekhemas is just downright stupid. Basically don't get hit, or have full meta instakill build, or you loose. My moderately healthy Life Leech character will never be able to make it passed 4 points. My Glass cannons will never be able to make it passed 4 points. My tank will never make it passed 4 points. It's so punishing. Choas isn't much better without insane luck on the debuffs. I'm not looking for faceroll. Otherwise I would be rolling meta builds. And that's the whole point. The trials aren't something you can outplay. They are to long to not make some mistakes. And, from what I can tell, you can't outlevel them. It's so sad because I LOVE PoE. But, the whole trial system is souring me on the entire game. I don't know if I will continue to play much longer since I will never be able to finish a build. Check out my Frozen Dagger build in the Shadow forums!! Last bumped on Jan 27, 2025, 9:48:46 PM

I did first two trails during the campaign no huge problem.
I did 3rd set with Sehkemas in about two or three attempts at around level 85 maybe. I did 4th (defeat the trial master) at level 90. They are meant to be difficult and rewarding. If you're used to the mindset that you're just going to get them while leveling that's just not how it is. The chaos trials are actually much easier once you know what you are doing or what to avoid. Like for instance if you got to level 90 if we get all four points just by running 10 levels of chaos and then defeating the trial master. Not saying you have to be level 90 but this is not something you do half geared at the start of mapping. They are easy if you know what you are doing. |

The Chaos Trial's 4th run, is kinda unfair. It has to be ran multiple times because you need 3 unique fragments to fight the boss. What fragment you get each run is random and unknown until the end. You could run it dozen times, and if luck says so, you wont get all 3 pieces needed.
" You forgot to mention that you had to trade for the pieces needed to fight the Trial Master first. Otherwise, you can't get it done in one go around. Last edited by mikeab79#3627 on Jan 27, 2025, 12:59:19 AM

Yeah Trials make the game "not for me." Glad it was only 30 dollars though. Never logging in again. Worst ARPG I've played in my life. Fact.

" Yay! |

No choice but to accept 40% less damage, bricked my run . Thanks for wasting my time again . |

Yep, I have 4 ascendancies from Trial of Chaos, but yesterday I went to check out and kill Zarohk. It took almost an hour to get to him, and on the way I got:
-40% damage done +50% monsters live -25% movement speed It didn't end well. Not planning to go again any time soon. |

They are not so bad but trials are too long.

4th trial is not meant to be easy and only the dedicated players/builds should finish it. This was confirmed by devs.
I think trials are OK, they need some more balance. You can always just wait few more levels before trying. Last edited by Waiden#9514 on Jan 27, 2025, 2:53:15 AM

Idk maybe it's just me, I end every one of my runs with every single boon, and maybe 5 afflictions. It's impossible to fail once you take your time to learn it instead of mindlessly trying over and over, while not upgrading relics, 3 25% resistance relics, the other stat doesn't even matter, and 1 merchant has 2 additional choices relic the other stat also doesn't matter, that's a max of 4 exalted and you should never fail again.
