Massive nerf for most build - GIVE ME SLOW BUT IMPACTFUL POE2 EXPERIENCE

"
2 very different design strategies in POE2. It's as if 2 different teams were at work.

Visually game is supreme. Sound design in 12/10, just amazing, D4 is far far far behind. Skill combos is a real step to nextgen ARPG, towards something new in the genre. Too bad if all of that will be wasted.

Current POE2 vs D4 is like watching a race tournament

POE2 early are super polished that make D4 in general look pale
Yet D4 catch up real good and actually leading when player reach endgame.

I don't see how it is leading. Same outdated 1 shot zooms everywhere. Time to do smth new. All these so called "endgames" got pretty stale for people who plays ARPGS since D1/D2.

That's the whole point, D4 even thought aren't designed to be a difficult game, are able to stay consistent from begining to end. Anyone who play that game are able to get a grasp on how powerful their build in the end.

and it's not just a playerside, enemy are slowly got beefed up throughout difficulty tier. Yes some build are able to mow down your target real fast, but the gap between build is actually not that large due.

Even lack of proper endgame content, D4 always deliver consistency which also one of the most important thing to make maintain their playerbase

LOL.. so the new crowd discovered PoE endgame.

Guys, this has always been like this in this game and that is why many people, me included, love it.

This is not going to be your "Diablo 4 but in different setting", stop asking. This is not going to be souls, elden ring or w/e else. This is PoE.

And I hope devs won't listen to such nonsense threads.

I loved D2:LoD endless cowruns clearing 2x screens with my ama while boosting whole party, endless Meph runs on my sorc(s), even endless pindle-runs if you know what that is. That was 20+ years ago. PoE2 is the only game right now that feels like that. This game is about killing monsters in most effective way and hoarding treasure. And the leagues ofc. Each new league, new mechanic, new reset and initial race from 0 to 100. That's what it all is about. Nothing else. You don't like it? Then probably it's not for you. PoE was like this since the beginning and me and many other people love it the way it is.

the whole monk class is OP

Elemental Monk (Invoker) is overtuned. Physical/Chaos Monks are left high and dry.

Then keep playing PoE1. PoE2 EA is the time for change.

Personaly I have no problem with overtuned builds if those builds require insane amout of investment (time, currency) in order to be overtuned. Problematic are builds which are overtuned with minimal effort.
What is this fetish to hamper other people fun?

You don't want play fast and furious? Go play SSF or HCSSF... garantee it is pretty slow and impactful.

Do like every other humam being do in other games, make your own imposed challenge - Elden Ring no hit run, Lv 1 run, just stone run, etc...

Sheesh... such partypooper
« Now I'm just obliterating everything everywhere and you don't have all those like story events breaking up your flow of gameplay. It's just like map kill everything map kill everything map kill everything map kill everything, which people love »

This is a quote from Jonathan (GGG) during the Q&A.

We, whom like slow paced and combo based gameplay, don't exist.

While GGG promised a gameplay based on combos during the various class showcases we saw at Gamescom, this gameplay doesn't survive Act 2, as the effectiveness of one-button builds with passives like Heralds takes over.

I wanted to see POE2 move away from the gameplay of POE1.
Act 1, especially played without help (reroll, trade) is the best act in the game.

To those who would reply that the one button AoE clear screen gameplay is mandatory in every HnS, I would point you to the cases of Victor Vran, Titan Quest and especially Diablo 1 and 2.
It's quite funny when you consider how often the advocates of fast paced « obliterating everything everywhere » gameplay claim that POE is the successor to Diablo 2.
