0.1.1b Patch Notes (restartless)

I'm sad that all this is happening, but I'm also glad is now happening to more people, and before you crucify me hear me out...

Since day One I have been complaining about crashes and weird issues, but I was always met with "But It's an EA dude/first EA man? /or the classic, it's your potato Pc as mine has not crashed even once and bla bla bla"

with all of us sharing our crashes and complaints something might be made, now the issue at hand is that we are getting crashes even before we can properly record them. Hell, I even downgraded to D11 and still get crashes and stutters.

More and more we keep being disappointed and ignored and then gaslit in to thinking it's our Pc's and not the game ... or even Windows 11 latest patch
W11 24H2, Regardless I have hopes the team will pull through for us and help with the crashing issue
Man, all these little fixes are great and all. But I really hope this helps figure out the hard crash issue. Nearly 2 months on and we have a thread with nearly 5000 posts full of people that still can't even play the game.

This needs to be priority 1, 2, and 3.

standalone client. crashing in maps and in hideout randomly. after a hour to 2 hours gameplay i D/C to login screen. It says login from different location please enter password again. I just exit game and restart poe2 and login. wasn't happening before. so not CTD and not constantly but it happens at least once every 2 hours.
Hey, everyone who sees this, try and take a moment to just relax and remember that there are other people on the other side of the screen. Talk to them like you would if you were in their office and they were working hard to fix issues like these.

There is exactly ONE group of people that has the right to be actively upset: People who aren't able to play at all. Crashes suck. It's EA, so it's slightly harder to say it's unfair, but you did pay to play it, and having to fight with tech to get it to function is never fun. I have been able to play since day 1 (despite a wide variety of crash types coming and going, but nothing REALLY big), and yet I have also been vocal since day 1 that this is the issue GGG needs to spend the most effort working on.

A VERY important thing to remember is that not every employee of GGG can fix those issues. The person who is making Una work probably has spent a whopping 30mins on the issue and probably is also trained to work on in-game interactions, not back-end technical issues. Maybe they get their priorities a little wonky sometimes, in comparison to the player base's opinions, but they do whatever they think is best - and they have repeatedly said they care most about people being able to have fun with the game, which obviously includes being able to play it at all.

The one other criticism I've seen that I think is valid is requesting more clarity on what is being worked on. That said, I don't work there, and I don't know their reasons for revealing some things and not others. But I bet they have a good reason.

Requests for what you would like are important. Getting pissed at them doesn't help anyone. Remember there are other, real people reading your messages who want you, want everyone, to enjoy the game.

With all due respect, it's insulting that you're now asking people to spend their time and risk their PC hardware to help you fix a game breaking bug that has existed since launch. At least have the decency to acknowledge the elephant in the room (the PC freezes) if you're going to ask that. The lack of transparency and communication is very off-putting.
Hi GGG Team,

I have played 4OO hours without any technical issues as crash or performance problems (CPU : AMD 5800X3D + 64 GB + GPU : Sapphire 7900XT NITRO) => Steady 120 FPS (capped frame-rate by using in-game options for a better comfort. My own choice for avoiding FPS variations that get me sea sick).

Unfortunately since this patch which try to fix instabilities encountered by others players, my gaming experience is getting destroyed.

How was my gaming experience this evening?
Well, frame-rate Instabilities, input lag, network lag, slow rendering with dense mob maps.
I lost 4 endgame level 12 maps, all my level 82 experience and all the most I got no enjoyment of my gaming session.

My first reaction was : what's going on ? it had never happen to me. Am I becoming skill less and rusty?

Then, in retrospect way by analysing my FPS and the others stored statistics at graphic driver level, the logical conclusion has been the following : Not me at this time for now, the guilty is this patch, in rusty shape mode for this 0.1.1b version.

Conscious that I am playing an early access game, I hope better days are coming especially for theses technical aspects of the game.

All my support to the team.
