To everybody complaining about difficulty/one shots
instead of defending one shots what i would say is i want to wait and see how ggg intends to balance the game in their next "economic reset".
everything we say to defend or complain right now could be invalidated in the next ggg big reveal. let em cook [Removed by Support]

The people that are randomly dieing probably aren't using a strong CC spec.
There is so much abusable CC, you can instantly freeze/electrocute for example and I'm Vs Rare monsters with Atlas+ modifiers. Also Armor is an "auto" defensive stat, you should be looking at other sources if you mainly rely on armor. Spirit gems used for defensive are also pretty op. " You say "should be", but what you mean is "I would like it to be". It won't necessarily make the game better. Smooth progression is usually boring, steps and setbacks spice it up. Even cookie clickers don't do completely smooth progression. |

" got one shot at my first citadel try. and it was entirely my fault! 1) slammed a random fully vaaled, rare t15 into it (my build allows me to not have to pay attention to any modifiers of map, I can run all without issues) 2) got fkn insanly unlucky and it spawned the endboss twice (I had this happen before, that the unique boss got doubled - first time it happend I screamed till both was dead, hysterically.) and most of all 3) forgot completely that my atlas passives ramps up all end bosses of maps +4 lvls fixed all these mistakes next try, and literally 2 shot the boss and therefor got my revenge. after that slowly increasing difficulty again to see where the limit is. |

" You are correct, even rare waystones may have 0% increased chance to drop waystones. But it is very unlikely. The way it works is that waystones affixes, like with all items, are split in prefix and suffix. For waystones the special part is that prefixes are "good" affixes, something that does not increase difficulty. Like increased rarity of items found, increased quantity of gold found, and so on. These prefixes do not increase waystone drop chance on the waystone (the number shown on top of the waystone). Suffixes on waystones are the ones that increase difficulty. Like monsters deal damage as extra fire, players have less recovery rate of life and energy shield, and so on. These make the map harder, but in return they effect the increased waystone drop chance on the waystone. There is one exception. Ground effects, burning, chilling and shocking. These seem not to increase the drop chance and are purely detrimental. So there is a small chance that even with Transmute, Augment, Regal you could get 0%, but it is very unlikely. If you use an Orb of Alchemy you could theoretically roll only prefixes + one of the ground effects and therefor have 0% increased waystone drop chance on the waystone. But this is very unlikely as well. The last possibility is using a Vaal Orb and it removes all suffixes. The list of waystone (top tier) affixes can be found here: https://poe2db.tw/us/Waystones_top_tier So you have the option not to vaal waystones unless you already have a lot and don't care too much. For the very rare situations where an Orb of Alchemy or the three Orb give you one with 0% you could invest an Exalted Orb ... but I would simply put it aside. |

" About this it is indeed a bonus chance . The vast majority of T15 i Vaal'ed to get them T16 very often lose this increased chance , which doesn't stop me to get quite a lot of Waystones drops on these maps due to my Atlas passive / Tablets mods . One thing I have seen and has grown quite a bit over the years, is some people are simply bad at video games, makes excuses and then blames the game. In time, the devs cave in and the game becomes completely trivial, which pretty much kills it. Its actual fans leave cause its not the game they grew to enjoy anymore and the others that blamed rather then get better moved on completely to the next new game of the month cause that's how they play games and the cycle continues.
