Happy now ?
" That's precisely what we said for 2 months already : LOOT FILTERS ( WILL ) HAVE NO EFFECT ON GAME PERFORMANCE God damn you're being that dense on purpose or what ?! Users frequently talk about experiencing frame drops in T15+ juiced breaches, but I would like to point out that T1 completely non-juiced breaches and delirium also frequent the sub-30fps range in couch coop (PS5 Pro).
There are several threads complaining about performance in the PS5 bug report forum, I just hope that whatever optimization we get is actually tested with couch coop which is unfortunately barely acceptable on console. Loot filter support is great, and they definitely help with those full screen loot explosions in T15+ I’m sure, but baseline performance much earlier in the game remains a huge problem. It’s possible some people are okay with 30 fps, but even if you are, this frame rate isn’t achievable for those of us playing coop (on much lower tiers with comparatively sparse mob density). I’m afraid of how the game will run for us in T15/juiced breaches. Last edited by Sathanas#2518 on Jan 24, 2025, 2:39:54 PM

" True . The problem with Breach isn't ( just ) the mob density per see , it's some code the console really doesn't like about the breach opening and mobs spawning . As i pointed out already here & else where that's the same exact problem in the timed survival trial during Sekhema where waves of mobs pop one after the other = performance get really bad for no reason . I'm happy yes, but i could be more happy, Hopefully its sooner than later, but i'm happy yes, thank you for asking.

Something is definitely up with CPU overutilization in general. Outdoor maps just always seem to have a baseline frame rate far lower than indoor maps even with little-to-no action, and it’s always the CPU ms that is the culprit.
They’ve said the engine team is looking into these things, but I hope for some more communication on where we can expect performance to be at before they are comfortable exiting early access. Last edited by Sathanas#2518 on Jan 24, 2025, 4:49:25 PM

Do not think anyone that has a double digit IQ thought loot filters had anything to do with lag.
Lag on consoles is ALOT of spaghetti code that builds up the longer you play. On ps5 pro i can hold 60fps on PSSR quality. But only for a few maps then it starts getting worse and worse till i restart PS5 AND log into a different game then back to Poe. But even with a fresh restarted going into any multiplayer into a packed breach or ritual is not going to perform and never will. What in the history of PoE on console would lead you to believe they ever going to have performance on a console? PoE not one single day since release could you play on console without lag in packed endgame maps. And multiplayer? Forget it. 15 second freezes during breaches was a good run and means you did not put enough pack size on your map. |

" I did not develop this game, so i am not responsible for this! GGG is responsible for this mess! And your psyche is playing tricks on you - you cant directly forward your anger and your emotions to the one responsible for them, aka. GGG because they are out of your range and wont listen or respond to your situation, so you have to find a substitute to put the blame on. But it does not change the situation! Just the sign of a weak minded and short sighted idiot and no zero point arguing further with a person like you Last edited by way2stupid#9491 on Jan 24, 2025, 10:04:02 PM

" Yes , most of the performance problems are either related to spikes of server latency ( it's random ) or CPU stuttering ( during breach , sekhema , ... ) . In both case GGG do have a looong history with these issues , and they were not able to fix major technical issues from PoE 1 they did ported into PoE 2 ( map reset for example ) , so i am not holding my breath on them improving much of anything . " Too bad we had to wait 1+ month for the wah-wah crowd to be out of the way , but there's still one specimen hanging around on this very page . " I don't really mind playing long term without 60+ FPS , but long term freeze will not be acceptable beyond the beginnings of the EA . And we should stop thinking it's all about "GGG doesn't care about consoles" , GGG did create the same exact issues on PC for years : https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/165nkla/how_i_fixed_cpu_stuttering_on_the_latest_patch/ CPU Stuttering on PC during Settlers Launch Their last announcement they said they were hiring guys to work at Support due to how overrun it was , time for GGG to spent that fresh money on also hiring game engine specialists because something is clearly amiss here . I don't get it. OP is angry loot filters were provided for console players because it didn't fix performance? Pretty weird but ok.
Console loot filter for POE2 Please!
