Divs price rising too fast?

I guess one of the factors is the RMT factories producing currencies in crazy way.
Because it's a Major game design flaw of having your crafting materials as your main currency. Almost no one is using Divs to craft with because of their purchasing power which means very few are being taken out of the market with many more being created everyday. Exalts are also being farmed at a much higher rate as more people reach the end game. The market is being flooded with currency. Its hyper-inflation at its finest. It's just basic economics. You print more money it loses its purchasing power.

But plus side is all this duped currency wont make it to official standard. these char will go to a beta EA standard how I understood it.

Yes , all the content here will move from Standard to EA league once the official release hit . But according to GGG latest interview there could be a economy reset during EA as well .

Didn't they say in their interview with the two streamers that there will be leagues within the EA which they will use for extensive class balancing and economy reset. They used this statement as an excuse for not balancing much with the last patch.

From what I understand, when that league ends, that currency then gets dumped into this one. Not the other way around. So, this economy is pretty screwed without proper sinks. And they aren't going to strip away everyone's currencies. They're afraid to tune OP builds because they want to maintain user retention lol. You can't undo power-creep, only mitigate the effects.

Rereading this reply thread, I'm hung up on the "official standard," because we are playing on the official standard. That's why it's crucial something shakes.

We dont need a currency sink, we need a better crafting system that allows us to pick the exact modifiers we want. Think about it, what is driving RMT? People wanting good items and they need the currency to do it. Why do they need large amounts of currency? because players are getting screwed by the crafting system so its easier for them to just use the trade site to get exactly what they want. Since this is the ONLY way to get decent items and everyone is playing meta builds, this drives up the price of items needed for meta builds. Factor in terrible drop rates and now players have no legit way to farming currency to buy the items they need on the trade site. This has caused a massive explosion for the need of RMT.

If we actually had REAL control over the modifiers for crafting (essences dont count). Then players could make exactly what they want and RMT dies immediately as it will be easier for people to either craft what they want OR craft desirable items easier bringing the price down.

Fix crafting and give players a real auction house. NOTHING else will fix this problem outside the games popularity dying off.

Yep , there was also some other announcements from GGG posted somewhere on Social Media about an incoming "Economy Reset" during EA .

they have always said that there will be an EA that will last from 6-12+ months and during the EA there will be several resets with content updates and balance changes that will let them retest from fresh.

they said that when they first announced the EA, its not an excuse for anything its a 3 month league reset game and its in a testing phase of course theyre not gonna run the EA for up to 12 months with no resets. that was always the plan and was always openly communicated.

poe1 has the best economy of any arpg ever created and it uses this design. in standard league that has been a live economy for 12 years and during that time has had every economy from every 3 month league dumped into it the economy is still fully functional. items still matter, currency still matters, you can buy and sell. until poe2 released it had a significant player base playing standard as their main league and even there, after 12 years, it was a better, far more interesting functional economy than any other arpg has had 2 months after an economic reset.

its not hyperinflation. money is being printed but goods are also being printed, theyre both being printed at the same rate consistently.

the market is working out where ratios sit. theres no reason to think the rates a month ago or a week ago are the 'correct' ratios and that a change is somehow a problem. no one came into this knowing what the eventual exchange rate on orbs would be, and we still dont know. expect more change.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
Just add an exponential gold price increase for trading currency per account, that slowly dissolves over time. Fine tune it to bots / scalpers so that they can't afford to trade 10'000s of exalts / divines per day. While not really affecting "normal" trading behaviour
This would be all to do with drop rates though right? Most people are now farming currency at astramentiscal rates.

It is reasonably easy to get 10+ exalts in a map if you have a high clear speed build in breaches and the top tier players are getting 20+

If you are getting 200 exalts for each div drop then that is about the price they would sell for as players are just exchanging ex for div more as a way to reduce stack sizes to trade. Trading several thousand exalts for one item would be quite difficult.
legit players are quitting and bots keep farming EX....

currency in this game is a fucking shitshow, dev's are clueless
