Is RMT and boosting against the TOS in POE2?
So now billionaires can buy their way to the top of the HC ladder as a vanity project like owning a football club, are the TOS not being enforced even when openly broken? (Like accounts being played while the account owner is literally standing on live TV at the same time?)
Are there any comments from GGG regarding this? Maybe in EA it's not a high priority, or it's garnering too much free press, but as a long time supporter, this is a massive blow to the credibility of RMT enforcement. I'm not trying to shitpost or troll with this, I'm just extremely disappointed that GGG isn't getting out the ban hammer. Anyone else feel this is undermining the integrity of the game? Yes, I agree. I don't know if it is in the scope of what GGG can handle but I report these whispers ever time I get them, and as someone who adds items to the trade web site for sale, I get these RMT whispers A LOT. So far they have all been from different throw-away usernames and mentioning the same web site every time.

tbh at this point it would probably be big publicity to ban "He who shall not be named"
I would have sided with GGG when it was "just" circumstantial (Quin69 shining a light on all the really obvious things we can all agree certainly add up to boosting at the very least. I would have said: you can get carried in POE in a 100% legit way thats 100% allowed. Its at least possible the guy hit the lottery on his staff and doesn't know it. Sure he didn't but its at least theoretically possible. Now though... the unnamed unshamed party has literally been shown playing while appearing publicly. Which is incontrovertible proof. It would be massively GIGACHAD to ban and huge publicity... If I was Mr Wilson or Roberts I would ban for account sharing just for the publicity. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4. If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. A very good question that GGG seems to be ignoring actively at this point. I wish they ar least gave us some clarity about how enforced are the TOS and if there’s a cutoff at a specific net worth/revenue where they are non longer enforced. Make it transparent.

" He's put into writing that he believes every top POE player is account sharing and RMTing, has said he himself boosted and RMT'd in POE2, streamed on characters based on HK servers configured for Chinese language, and been in meetings and on live TV while his account is grinding maps (not just afking). It's a completely joke at this point, and it makes the game look ridiculous. |

" You know it’s bad when you unironically start giving people Voldemort’s nickname just to be able to refer to them publicly. |

so is this allowed now? any infos?

Technically it should not be but as long as it does not effect GGG's bottom line then nothing will be done. They have already proven that they are pretty soft, even on exploiters and cheaters. The game is fun at times but its not a game that can be taken srs or legit. Once you get to the end game stuff and read up what's been happening you realize its a very causal game for one button trick builds and for those that conduct shady things/pay to win services to people who really struggle with video games in general.
